Black and Republican listen up--and we told you so!! (1349 hits)

(Michael Steele, the new figurehead of the Republican Party.)

Michael Steele you’re an affirmative Action choice who can’t cut it. Stop embarrassing us and resign

Michael Steele it’s time for you to go. You’re an affirmative action failure who never should have been elected to run the RNC and you scare me. There is no evidence to suggest you have any grasp of your mission as RNC Chairman. With the life of our nation at stake, America has no time for you to learn. Nothing about you gives me hope or confidence we can turn our Party around.

I wanted to reserve my decision and give you the benefit of any doubt, yet frankly Mr. Steele your election as the first Black RNC Chair smelled fishy from the beginning.

After Obama’s election it seemed a bit too politically correct and looked like panicky affirmative action designed to attract people who will NEVER vote Republican anyway.

My suspicions about you proved well founded.

You just don’t get it.

Your remarks about Rush Limbaugh being an entertainer who is “incendiary” and at times “ugly” prove you don’t understand grassroots conservatism. I can’t overlook this shortcoming.

You are the de jure head of the Republican Party, but because of the vacuum your lack of leadership has produced, Rush Limbaugh IS the de facto leader of the Party.

I’m sick of a leaderless rudderless RNC giving us Bob Michel type leadership. I want a Chairman who will stand up and fight for conservatism and be able to distinguish friends from enemies.

Because of you I will revert to “Whitemailing” the RNC. I’ll send your envelops back with a note giving you a piece of my mind, but nothing else. I won’t contribute another penny to the RNC until you are gone Mr. Steele.

I speak only for myself, but I hope others will join me in this insistence that you leave office before we make any further contributions.

And one more thing Mr. Steele please can this “hip hop” crap. The “hip hop” culture will never vote for us and appealing to it only shows how little you understand about how to bring our Party back. It’s a waste of our time and scarce money and those people are laughing at you behind your back. It’s another embarrassment you have brought to us.

I don't think attracting more Blacks to the GOP is a priority for Michael Steele. There is some speculation that a Black RNC chair will attract minority interest, but so far there's not much evidence of that happening. The same predictions were made about other minority Republican leaders (Bobby Jindal, J.C. Watts, Ken Blackwell, etc.) but they've used a similar strategy of rallying the GOP's existing conservative base.

His platform is based mostly on issues that aren't very relevant to (moderate and liberal) Blacks. Instead, he's focused on restoring the emphasis on Reagan-era conservative principles... drastically smaller government, tax cuts & business-friendly legislation, and unilateral foreign policy.

As a Maryland native, I've had the opportunity to hear Steele speak. His message isn't that much different from other GOP leaders.

If the Republicans seriously want to make inroads in the Black community, there are particular issues they should focus on and strategies that will help gain interest. Certain groups of African Americans will be receptive to the message. So far, they haven't demonstrated much understanding of how to capture that audience.

Mr. Carter I thank you for you input. I am not that familiar with Mr. Michael Steele, but I am familiar with J.C. Watts from Oklahoma, and his policy stance.

Mr. Rick Fabrizzi- who spoke at the CPAC convention made it clear that they intend to pursue the youth a carbon copy of the Obama campaign strategy.

There is a curious malevolent marketing style that I have observed with Republican grass roots organziers and others at the helm. They will continue to use Black Americans, Hispanics and Asians as fodder. For the sheer number of votes needed, they have no interest in actually having "these" people join the party per se.

We in the Diaspora living in America need to understand and accept that reality and not allow them to used the same old tricks from the dawn of slavery which is of course divide and conquer.

Love to see you post, as you and Mr. Moss always submit comments worthy of critical thinking responses.

From that interview of Michael Steele over on Fox's Sean Hannity program tonight the Conservatives on planet Sutck on Stupid have come up with a remedy of denial to over come the Steele vs Limbaugh gift to the Democrats that keeps on giving.

Hannity and Steele were actually braging about how the Democrats are using this POLITICAL misconception about steele and Limbaugh as a distraction away from the economic crisis that president Obama has caused(?)!!!!

I promise you, if I had not seen and heard all of this exchange between these two, I would not be able to believe it had happened!!!They were both giving praises of how smart a move this is from the Republicans and proof that they have chosen the right man to lead the RNC. Can you believe this...(smile)

Marta, It is my belief that The "Conservatives" can not afford financially or morallybe able to get rid of their Michale Steele token by 2010. Why, because to do this will only cause the Republicans to publically admit that the only thing they know about RACE is the "N" word and the image that Black people are violent, ignorant and have no male head of the family. To try and change any of this as the only thing they can talk about can only make it worst for them. They are still stuck with the fall out of what George W. Bush and Regan has led to this economic crisis not to mention the Gitmo, private government, Haliburton no bid contractsin their future!!!

The Democrats use to use the , "I am a bigger racist than you" to win back in the last century. We joined together as a Black voting bloc and put an end to this. This got us mayors being given the worst cities in America and a token on the Supreme Court.

But, as this is the 21st century we now have a Black president which means that we now should no longer settle for less than more than Tokens from the White House to the main stream media and yes , even the Republican party!

Michael Steele apologizing to Rush Limbaugh should be a signal to the nonWhites in the Conservative party to do just what we did to the Democrats!!!!I wish them a new WAKE UP call that they leave the ego of the Rush Limbaughs to the White majority and move on to make their Conservative party work in their favor therefore causing them to get beyond the TOKEN as the social / political norm.

I do chant(pray)that Michael Steele does not for a moment in any way believe that his apologizing to Rush Limbaugh is a way to attract Black people on their way from: rich to middle-class and from middle-class to jobless/homeless as the way to go about thisgetting us to join the Conservative party?????Or the Republican party or the RNC or what every they may end up calling themselves by 2010!!!

Every thing the Conservatives do at the present seem to be more than 'putting foot into mouth' and more like going all out to prove the African-American is more dumb than the Republicans have been thinking, because they are still trying to join us...

What is Jindal suppose to represent? Maybe those who look like they are from the middle east should not ALL be classified as TERRORIST? Just look at the Republican party, we have ONE of them (Jindal and Steele going out against someone we have called MUSLIM:President Barack(midddle eastern name)Obama! And, we have someone Steele that represent HIP HOP. And, please do not get the hip hoppers mixed up with the ones whose music is VIOLENT. and so on and do forth....

therefore, I repeat, is this the 21st century way to attract the African-American?????!!!?
