HER FACE IS NOT BLACK BUT THE STORY OF HER LIFE IS A DREAM OF MANY (363 hits)

Sure, her face isn't black, nor is she from America. Her story however is a dream of many. For years this lady dreamed of singing and in her younger years she was probably ridiculed many times because of her handicaps and appearance. So often it's not always the color of the skin. People tend to look at you if you're not exactly born beautiful that you're never amount to much of anything. How wrong people can be about another. I give applause to the determination inside of her, which has made way to the bold beautifulness expressed in her singing. Reading the story of Ms. Boyle, I was touched by her candid display of courage and her virtue of patience to just keep trying. The message she sends out is hope. Hope is the message. Not necessary a hope of fame, but finding your dream and living it to the fullest! Your dream may not inquire a fame in the world, just you fulfilling what's inside you to be born into your purpose of life. (Public video photo: Susan Boyle)

I've heard a lot of stories about Susan Boyle. I just heard a commentator on the radio fuming over people who want her to get a full blown makeover to fit the idealistic mold of what Americans think a gift and any measure of success should look like.

I'm going to have to check her out now. Thanks for posting this.

Blessings...

No, Mr. Maxwell. They haven't learned that lesson. And it's sad. They always want to make someone into a so-called "Cinderella" without regard to the fact that not every woman grew up wanting to be Cinderella. The movie, "Shrek" is a great example of this. And that cartoon has more undertones of being accepted as you are than perhaps any other animated movie.

They need to leave this woman alone. She's homely looking, yes. But to me, that's actually a part of her charm. I can see her getting more clothes or whatever or maybe even wanting a hairstyle she actually pays for, but a full blown makeover to turn her in the appearance of something she's not and likely doesn't want seems rather disingenuous to me. She's fine the way she is. If SHE chooses to make little changes here and there, fine. But it shouldn't be up to anyone else to make her feel obligated to.
