
There is a constant stream of chatter that goes on in our heads. It's called self talk and all it is, is you talking to yourself.
Do you every pay attention to what you say to yourself? Do you criticize yourself? or complain about your life, your faults, or how life "treats" you? Do you constantly tell yourself that you can't cope? Or that you'll fail at something?
Salution:
Just remember that you are made in the image of God, beautifully and wonderfully made.
I suggest that you become aware of your "Greatness" start focusing on what's right with you instead of what's wrong with you. Realize that we all have our weak points and nobody is perfect.
Start off by becoming aware of your inner voice. Each time you recognize that you are criticising yourself or self undermining, pause a bit, remind yourself that it's just that old habit.
When correcting that negative inner voice, remember to use a soft and patient tone of voice, as if you are calming an upset child.
Remember, you're not going to change over night. It's going to take practice. It takes a while to replace a habit of a life time. But it's definitely worth doing.
