What a day (345 hits)

Wow how can anyone who has just gotten up in the morning and face a bad day just shortly after leaving their home?

Well let me tell you. I got up this morning and turned on my tv to hear the weather in which here in the desert the weather report is “JUST HOT” you don't even have to know what the temperature is, it's just hot. Well now you are probably wondering how hot is hot? How about 82 degrees at 6:45 am. My mother did not really get a mother's day she was wanting to receive, because my brother ended up in the emergency room in the hospital I work. I came up with sending my mother on vacation. I was arranging a round trip for her to see her sister in Delaware when I came up with a brilliant idea, I would pay for the trip there and my brother would pay for the trip back. My daughter reminded me that my brother did not have a full time position and he may not be able to get her back home. Still my idea is brilliant (get my drift?)

Not really ready to go out yet, I hear banging on my door and my neighbor saying the house across the street is on fire. So I grabbed what I could and assist neighbors old and young; skin and fur (no reptiles); elderly and disable move to the corner (well what is the corner, I live on a dirt road, remember its the desert). We moved all the vehicles to a safe place as well and watched the fire trucks and EMT vehicle pass us by (they were unable to find the road)
after we watch the house burn to the ground literally, I left. (not without giving some numbers for community assistance and arranging cabs for those in need for rides to other family members.

I leave to take my daughter across town to school, when I notice my gas tank was on ee (ever so empty). So I stopped to get gas only to find out I left my wallet at home. No big deal I know just go back to get it (did I mentioned I had no gas?) thank god my daughter states she has $10.00 dollars in her wallet, so I put $5.00 in the tank and dropped her off at school. I go to my favorite hang out (starbucks, by the way I am off today) to do a blog. Well my AT & T wi-fi needs to be renewed. Yeah, I do not have my wallet. I am hungry, I do not have my wallet. So I sit here on my first day off of 5 with no money, thirsty, hungry and did I mentioned my mother is with me.

Don't get me wrong, I do love her. Just some days is better than others. She keeps reminding me that I do not have a license and how I should go back home to get my wallet, of course it is what I should do. I did previously mentioned that I live on the other side of town, and I can not get to my house due to the fire (if you are apart of law enforcement skip over this part).

Oh it gets better.......I wrote a check to my mother to cash at my bank (yeah!!! I had my check book in my bag) why would she all of a sudden start remembering what bills she needs to pay, and how she need to figure out how to pay them? Yeah, I know what you are thinking and I did. I gave her half of what I took out. We ended up going to lunch, yes you are right again I paid. Now I am full, my thirst is quenched and my jeans are too tight.

Oh the jeans, you ask? Well there is a side of me that is determined to do certain things and since I paid quite a bit for my jeans I am going to wear them. I will be out of them soon. I am nearing the end of my day trying to figure out how I am going to get to my house. I am told by a friend that my street is blocked off and I could park my car at her house however I would have to foot it in. This is going to be ugly.

After a shoe full of sand (dirt), my costly (a treat to myself) pair of jeans (hey it is not often I have a chance to be cute, o.k?) look like I have been in the Rodeo and my shirt stuck to by back and arms I am finally...border patrol? You have got to be kidding. Oh this is really ugly. They want me to prove my residence, because the road is closed, with the exception of it's residents. Yeah, I have the same picture you have and I am not in the mood, (for those of you who has never been to the desert here is a picture for you; illegal immigrants, border crossers). They were only here to assist with traffic until the sheriffs could arrive. I am home!!!!!

It does not stop...my cold water in my shower is hot!!!!

I'm going to bed. Hey, I know what your thinking. It's just me, therefore no one is offended.
