It's 12:52 AM and I'm taking some time to go through my e-mail. I've been trying to keep it down to a manageable size, but when I logged in this evening I had over 1000 pieces waiting for me and that didn't include the stuff I had to go through in my Spam folder.
I've been in something of a blue funk for the last few months. Selling our home and moving to a new state, buying a home and having our daughter and the grand kids move in with us, kind of took a toll on me and in the midst of all that craziness, my mom passed away from complications caused by her diabetes. So off to New York we had to go. After all was said and done, I just had to shut down for a bit.
I started reading the Book of Isaiah recently. It might not be the book to read when you're feeling down, but it has actually perked me up considerably and I'm reading it with fresh eyes and a heart that's more receptive to receive.
I've got a job. It's only temporary, but its the first one I've had since I left my previous job back in February of 2008. It's also the first job that actually required me to have a college degree. It's allowing me to get my feet wet, so to speak.
