I've read this story twice, and from the same source... it's a news outlet called One News Now, and I am simply astounded there's absolutely NO mainstream press coverage of this story. What story? The adoption and abuse of 5 year old African American boy by a professor at Duke University... Read it for yourself

Where's the director of the Local Chapter of NAACP? Where's the complaint that should be filed at the department of children and families? What happened to the great proclamation of denouncing racism after the shameful events surrounding the Duke rugby team party?
Where's the police report? This guy was caught on THE INTERNET abusing a child and offering him out for s*x! (last time I checked, that kind of stuff usually gets the Feds involved...)
And...
If the recent hate crimes legislation passed, this guy will get a free pass! Why? Because, the recent hate crimes legislation made behaviour labeled deviant by the American Psychological Association activities covered by law!
There were over thirty deviant behaviours listed in that bill, known as the Matthew Shepard act, and included in those behaviours is pedophilia, necrophilia, and a few others that are too disgusting to mention. Why? Simple, our elected officials were too cowardly to come out and say this bill was to give protected status to gay people and stifle the voices of social and political conservatives... don't believe me?
