I think the most important project you can undertake right now is to prepare yourself and your family for survival. Recently Joe Wilson a KKK congressman told President Obama he was a liar. This Mr. Wilson did while President Obama was speaking to congress this has never happened before. Presidents have been booed which is typical audience reaction to a speech which is to either applaud or boo. But never has anyone before dared interrupt the President and draw attention away from him unto themselves, even congressman don't dare interrupt each other let alone the President. This is an act of extreme uncivilness in my opinion will only get worse as this country doesn't respect black people. It was a terrible thing to make this man president when such a reality exists in this country. The divisions and clashes will increase under Mr. Obama's watch because of the lack of civility which can only perpetuate to outright physical clashes. I warn you that if Mr. Obama gets re-elected this will incite Civil War. There's already much chatter of this on internet forums and video sites like youtube.com or Blinx.com. This country is in no position right now to withstand a civil war it will mean a huge and terrible loss of life and property due civil unrest. There will be job losses unimaginable right now and followed by food shortages as states run out of cash to fund social programs. There will be clashes over the few resources available yes ethnic and racial clashes. It's best not to get involved in taking any position at this time but be prepared. My best guess those whom are reading is that this all will take place during Obama's second term somewhere around 2013. So I think we have about 3 to 4 years to prepare. Take the costs of the items you will need and divide them by the number of months you need to save to aquire them without causing a strain upon yourself or your family. Do this within a year don't go beyond a year or two doing this unless it's to get extra or you need more time due to your financial situation, extra won't hurt. Proceed as normal but under a cloak. Let no one know what you are up to. Utilize a P.O Box to have the items delievered to you or to a dummy address you don't live at. Don't give your real address or someone later who is without will remember who you are and may come looking for you. Tell no one. Those who don't get the message are on their own. There won't be nothing for you to share with them as you will be fighting for your own survival and your family. There will only be enough for those whom you prepared for. Remember only get dry food you can eat without having to cook because the smell of food will draw hungry hoards to your doorstep. Good Luck and God Bless.
There are two types of kits here. The first one is for home storage and it is not portable. You can only carry so much if you have to abandon your safety zone of your home or whereever. Remember in war fortifications are the stupidity of man. If mountains and oceans can be overcome then anything man made can be overcome. So don't think holding up in a location will mean you are safe. So be prepared to be mobile and agile. Don't be like the New Orleans blacks who were caught totally off guard when they had to leave their homes.
