"In Order For Black History To Live, We Must Continue To Breathe Life Into It." -- Hubert Gaddy, Jr.
Gaddy, I visited his growing up town of Indianola, MS a few years ago. Saw his home there and they have a nice recreation center opened in his honor. Of course, Memphis has his club here and he often appears there for concerts. I've never been there though to see him. Still his Beale Street Club is popular among visitors in Memphis. Great information. Keep it going Gaddy....
Here's someone you might think about blogging about Vanessa Williams...in 1983 she was crowned as first African American for Miss America on September 17, 2009. You might think about it and do one on her. I'll see you around in... Black in Time!
