Stop blaming Hip Hop for everything (150 hits)

George I have to disagree. Hip Hop is both a symptom and a cause. It tells a story and perpetuates at the same time. So change the story first, but how do you change it when it is being perpetuated?

I agree with you totally George and have been saying this for years. Hip Hop is not the blame for the issues in the community. Just like head banging Heavy Metal music is not the blame for the issues in Suburban Communities. The lack of people taking responsibility of what they teach their children, the types of morals and values they instill in them and the such. The lack of having Neighborhoods, which creates a totally different type of love, unity and community amongst it's members as oppose to the Hood, which seems to be mentioned all the time. In addition to the fact that most of what is played on the radios and the videos associated with them are not true blue hip hop music. Everything starts from the home environment and if it is based on materialistic things or just things period, then people are already set to fail because the values have been placed in the wrong area.

I wish I had paid more attention to that article on the 11 pm news about how now you can take a three semester course in Hip Hop music in college ...The class is being taught by a former Hip Hop radio DJ turned professor...it is 2009.(smile)
