2012 Movie Is Scaring Many into Fear Factors! (1274 hits)

It's true, the 2012 movie is frightening people already and leading them in the fear to expect that the end of times will come very soon.

Prophesies in the bible indicate that the end of times will come noted as the latter days and well as a result of that Hollywood has set it's eyes on the value of making a profit of it. I read in a on-line magazine that many people are in a fear factor frenzy! Taking seriously, that the movie is predicting the outcome to the end of the world to come in the year 2012.

There is certain that many Christians do believe that the end of times are approaching closer than ever before, and that God's is giving signs of these times right now! These are based on the bibical description of plagues, pestilences and disasters such as tsuamis, earthquakes and tornados are blasting all around the globe. The enviorment and seasons are changes and men and women are becoming more and more wicked everyday. These days where families kill each other, robbers, thieves, rapists and murders are on the rampage in every place.

The movie is science fiction, but fears of these days are very real. Do movies really give prophesy? It has been brought to my viewpoint that many times movies and television have brought some things about. Just look back at the cartoon the Jetsons. Way before the micro-wave ovens were on the scene -- they cooked their foods in a device by pushing a button. Then there's the televison series of Star Trek which innovated space travel long before ships and rockets actual took space tours. Now it's almost common everyday.... And no one should ever forget the radio station that aired The War of the Worlds!

There are hundreds and thousands of sci-fi books and films that predict the world's end and the panic it will involve. Today, the fear is great and totally serious. I have to say this....I think we'd better start looking at these signs and do so preparing our souls for eternal life. You can decide yourself what you want to do.

Hey Derek! I see you have explained some theories here. I don't take anything for granted. It's because I believe in prophesy of the latter days. It's evident to me that there is truth to prophesy. The signs I see tell me this. Just like Jesus states, we know when a storm is coming, I see signs and highly believe in the bibical prophesy. Like I agree, I won't dismiss that day is coming, but the bible also says no one knows the day. I too, thank you for great info amd observation.

Irma, I very much remember the Y2K scare. This movie 2012 is broading the horizon of future events whether it's science fiction; or not predictions of the "Big Bang" continue to be a focus of open discussion in etertainment, social, relgious and prophesy with added observation by scientists and astrogolists. Interesting though, how things do come about. God truly knows that's for certain! Thanks Irma Girl!

You know family, sometimes I think that all this hype about 2012 is just another trick put out by the powers that be to decieve the masses and keep them from actually doing what's necessary to improve thier community. Just like the year 2000. People claimed that the world was gonna end before or by the year 2000 and they were claiming that Jesus was gonna come back right around that time and make everything alright and establish his kingdom on Earth. They even used the work of Nostradamus to back up this false statement by claiming his prophecies didn't go beyond 2000. A&E, the History Channel, Discovery Channel and dozens of other media outlets were in on the scam.....even the government tried to scare people about Y2K (LOL).

Even Minister Farrakhan were running around declaring that the Destruction would occur right around that time but he said that the time was extended. Now here we are almost 10 years later and war and bloodshed is still in the world and the White man is still ruling. Now they're whipping up another frenzy with this 2012 date supposedly found in the Mayan Calendar.

The Mayans had a totally different calendar system than the West, how in the world they could have figured out such a precise date is beyond me.....but they did and they've been promoting it for nearly a decade now. And just like 2000, they're invoking Nostradamus and religious prophecies to bolster this claim as well. But they've become just a little bit "slicker" about it now and cover their asses by saying it's not the "end". In the past people used to say the end of the world would be by such and such and end up looking like fools when it didn't come. Now some have gotten wise and rather than saying the world will end, they say their'll be a "shift in conciousnes" starting at 2012 and a polar alignment that will spark the beginning of the end of this world (LOL).

So when the date comes and nothing happens, they can play it off as if it's happening but just slowly. Like those who said the White man's world would end by 1984 (around the same time crack cocaine became popular) but when it didn't they tried to play it off like, "Well it's falling right now brother.....can't you see? It just started in 1984 but will climax at a later date!!!" They point to a minor earthquake in Turkey or the dollar dropping 2 points as evidence that this world is on the edge of destruction. I believe in the creative nature of humanity (LOL).

Best believe if December 2012 passes and nothing happens they'll come up with some other arbitrary date to throw out to keep you hoping and praying that the "end" to this corrupt system will come rather than getting off your butt and becoming politically active to make something happen. And as usual those who up it out will be quite convincing as to fool the majority of people into believing it.

Geologist say that ever so many _____________of years where the south pole is now the earth will flip and it will once again be where the north is right now. It will be on the new position of the earth.they were talking about this not long ago on one of the science channels....they say that they can tell from the magnetic something related to how a compus works or something like this use to be positioned in not alaska and is now in or was in the continent of african or something like this. So these scientist say if this is what these calanders were charting it had to be about the positions of the planet ...OH, well.(smile) also how soon we forget the panic fo our entering the 21st century......

Oh, MIISRAEL, there is this big $millions and $millions of research dollars already spent for a research in search of finding out the argument of the difference sciences of physic's world's theory of the origons of the universe begining with a "big bang" or not. It is said that they are going to do something like putting the positives and the negatives together and make them work together. These two don't mixdon't mix!!!!! and I thing they are going to do something like mixing them to get a "big bang" lab style explotion like the one that created the universe in the first place...dispite other science fields saying it will cause a worm Hole and end this planet's existance may be why so little is said about it.

They have already started it but it broke down so they have to fix it and my sister guess when they will have it fixed to try once again?!? Yep, 2012. Now this does bother me....I thing this thing is in the mountains in Switslerland(mispelled)They have actually shown it on TV, again the Science channels.(smile)

MIISRAEL, my Buddhist practice calls this the Latter days and this is why we have a mission to bring about PEACE ON EARTH...seeing and accepting that we are all more alike than different is very hard and so easy to just get up set and start placing blame of no peace on earth on every one but our own self.(smile)
