GADGETS...AND THINGS LIKE THAT? (237 hits)

Don't you just love the newest gadgets? This of course means some of our old tinkers will become OBSOLETE! That's exactly right! Is all this really all GOOD? I don't know?..I kind of like the rattle of the newspaper { What are we suppose to use when we're painting or wrapping stuff?} and the home telephone instead of the new lines of cell phones being introduced. Sure, I know I'm from "OLD SCHOOL" still I'm stuck on the old ways. "This girl can't help it!" While listening to some of the things that will be OBSOLETE in the next years ahead read what some of them WERE:

Your City's Newspaper
CD and CD players
VHS and VCR players
Cassette Tapes and players
Binded Books {replaced by e-books}
Give Up Home Telephone Services {replaced with new cell phones}
Your Computers { You'll have it on your new phones}
Your video stores--{ buying/viewing online will add to closing the stores!}

Don't really know for certain if we'll lose all these gadgets and things like that, but I'm sure some will make way for other stuff. We'll truck along...trying to adjust. I'll give it try.

BUBBLES ....BLOW........

See you around on the screen phones! I'll be able to call you up and see you live!

I know what you mean Miisrael--- I miss the 8 track tapes, the record player, albums, the blue/red light parties that I was told not to stay up for while my uncles and aunts danced, and the black/white movies and musicals. Change is inevitable! (lol)

And most lamentably to me, Miisrael, the obsolescence of film cameras. Although I do use a digital camera as well, I have a great store of 35mm negatives from 13 years of photography, mostly B&W. It will be a great loss when the materials to work with film in the old way become no longer available due to a lack of market.
