Black People or White People.....Who FEARS the most in LIFE ? (362 hits)

White people will get in the ring with lions and tigers, they will go mountain climbing, explore uncharted land and oceans, go deep sea navigating, jump out of an airplane, venture into outer space and land on Moon or Mars, study snakes, reptiles and insects and erect tall structures(bridges and buildings) and work around 138,000 volts of electricity to name a few. My people...black people fear climbing, the dark, strange noises, unknown places, water, elevators, outer space, venturing too far from home, police, bugs, insects and strange animals, water sports, jungle and old wives tales just to name a few. Some blacks are frightened of their own shadows. Now, of course this does not apply to all white people nor does it apply to all black people. But, lets have an intelligent discussion why so many black people have so many fears. I have cousins in Washington D.C. that is scared of the elevator. Every case mentioned here, there is someone in my family that this applies to....so lets discuss WHY.....when White people seem not to have many fears at ALL......Does it go back to slavery ? what do you think ?

Clark...Hello

Are you serious ? Some of my cousins in D.C. refuses to get on an elevator..But will ride the escalator or climb the stairs. Go figure

Growing up in the country...as a kid would go in the woods and collect bugs and put them in a jar with a wasp or bumble bee. When showing the jar to my Black American friends, not all, some of them would flinch and show signs of fright. Out in our backyard were tall oak trees, that I would climb. Some of my friends would climb with me but others would act like they were too afraid due to the height. But, my observation is based on my travels to probably 40 of the 50 states and being around my people.

Just mention them as examples....but across the board...all over America, I find black Americans burned with fears. And yes, my cousins in D.C. are still like that. But, that is just one of many instances...for I have many many relatives. If you say that you have never ran across any scared black folk...in my experiences, that would be more the exception...because have traveled all over the country and find such things. Plus with my non-profit organization...it drives me to go door - to - door on many cases....and you get the input from that as well. My thoughts it goes back to slavery when the black slave was made to be scared of the dark. Not sure why any black would have the phobia...

Clark, Have you ever been to Africa ? and would you like to go sometime to check it out ? To that question along many blacks are scared to go.

You have something there....have never hunted a Lion or Hyena....that has to be an experience. Too bad we are unable to dialogue though, you are so very ignorant when conversing with an engineering scientist...that no one but another dull normal can converse with you.
