The Queen's Chair: Bandleader Kevin Eubanks Leaving The Tonight Show (184 hits)

Like Jay Leno doesn't have enough problems. Rumor has it that Tonight Show Band Leader Kevin Eubanks will be leaving The Tonight Show when it returns after The Winter Olympics. Eubanks, who has been with the show since 2002, hasn't stated the reason for his departure. A rumored replacement: Darius Rucker formerly of Hootie and The Blowfish. Can't figure that choice; I'm sure we'll hear a lot more on this story

I loved the chemistry between these two. They really enjoyed ribbing each other. But sometimes guys just have to move on. It isn't easy doing a five night a week gig. It can be stiling for a musician.

Darius Rucker is cool. We'll see if he has a sense of humor. The whole idea of the show is to get people to laugh.
