Here's the scene here in DC:
Melanie's March - a group of insurance industry survivors who walked 135 miles from Philadelphia to Washington - arrives in DC today.1 They'll tell their stories and send our message directly to Majority Leader Harry Reid, who's greeting them when they arrive. And tomorrow, leaders in Congress will meet at the White House with President Obama to decide the fate of health reform.
We need to make sure Congress listens to us and not the insurance companies, who are spending millions to kill health care reform.2
While you might not be marching from Philadelphia to DC, and you might not be invited to the President's health care summit, you can still make your voice heard. Along with MoveOn.org, SEIU, Democracy for America, True Majority and dozens of other partners, we're going to deliver 1 MILLION messages to Congress today!

Senator Reid and other leaders in Congress are going to hear from Melanie's Marchers in person this afternoon. Hundreds of people are going to be rallying with them. And every Member of Congress on Capitol Hill is going to be bombarded with thousands of faxes, phone calls and emails. It's a message they won't be able to ignore.
We need affordable health care for everyone. We must hold the insurance companies accountable. And too many people are dying - we can't live with the status quo any longer.
Please let's jam those phone lines! Let's overheat the fax machines! Let's shut down the email inboxes! Let's be LOUD!
REMIND Congress: Pass health reform that works for us - now!
When we work together, we can accomplish anything, even making sure Congress passes the health reform we need. It's time to join millions of others around the country who are being loud today.
Today's the day we send Congress an unmistakable message: The people are mad as hell and Congress must listen. We want health care reform done right and done now.
