
Recently, media personality, Tavis Smiley and civil rights activist, Reverend Al Sharpton have been engaged in heated conversations stemming from a New York Times quote, allegedly made by Sharpton, saying that he feels the president is wise not to "ballyhoo" a Black agenda.
Returning to his old stomping ground, The Tom Joyner Morning Show, Smlley also called out NAACP President Ben Jealous, Urban League President Marc Morial, Harvard Professor Charles Ogletree and civil rights icon, Dorothy Height -- arguing that these individuals have not sufficiently demonstrated that they care about the interests of the Black community
