Winnie's comments may be abiding to add controversy. I hope she is not holding on to bitterness.

Bro. George...Makes you think..Most of the African countries got their independence from the European between 1950 and 1960. But in South Africa...the white Africaners say they will NOT give up their guns....and Nelson buckled. Makes you say Umm...Umm...Ummm....Ummm

Irma: I would hope Winnie would not be bitter for that very reason that after all the years she devoted to Nelson and how they parted after such a long battle with apartied. She loved this man I believe, and I think she's may not really over the divorce and relationship they had. I am hoping she's not bitter, but totally strong. Leaving her in the background can incur many emotions scars, sometime it takes a long time to heal. Like you said, She doesn't have to be harboring bitterness, and I WOULD HOPE SHE ISN'T BITTER! BUT IS VERY POSSIBLE SHE MIGHT BE. I see your point Irma, and I feel equally agreeable that she shouldn't be bitter over any of it! She has a successful story as well.

Irma, Do you think sometimes criticism can have a savory of bitterness? Depending on a emotional or even professional level...

I too feel they both are icons to apartied & freedom to their country. Both would have to be strong to even to take on such a gaint to slay like they did! I'd say no one does it better than Winnie and Nelson! To me it's impossible to think of one without the other. They marrried their country and both suffered greatly. If Winnie is bitter, and that's a big IF ...she has definately a love and sweetness for her people. Thanks Irma Girl for answering my questions...Lov U Shorty!

You've give good advice Mozell!

Since my computer recently had a virus attack, I'm scared to click the link. Can someone post the article? I don't want to comment before I read the story. I will say that I love both Nelson & his ex wife Winnie.

I agree with Winnie on this one,

I have stated before, any People that want a leader that has been in the Demonic Apartheid Prision for 27 years, prision in prisionSouthAfrica---got to be Lost in Space; or paganEuropeanChristian believers.

and by the way, winnie would say the same thing about Deleter Little Abraham.

Nelson Mandela is a wonderful man. I have always had a very high opinion of him and Winnie and admired their courage in helping our people and also to help stop apartheid in South Africa. I have always appreciated their work. They taught great things that were beneficial to Black People, which is why in America they still have a following here even today.

Why would Winnie have to be bitter about? OH, maybe all of those years she spent supporting him having threats of deaths over her head as she did...She stood strong when her fellow Africans turned against her just before tey got out...or may be after waiting for her husband for over twenty years, he marrys of all people a white young thing...MIISRAEL, WHY WOULD THIS WOMAN BE BITTER FOR HAVING GIVEN UP THE YOUTH OF HER LIFE FOR A MAN TO WALK OUT ON HER...like haow dare she be upset???????????????? pitiful

Has south Africa become a great economic country....Or it it a country that is all for one or none for all....it was too hard to try and find who was not accusing how of being a carook aso I don't try to keep up with this country is doing...I do wonder how much longer before they looses power they have...power is no good if it is not respective and has long terem goals...I have seen. (Iam not smiling)

I figure that Winnie is more hurt and disalussioned...I know the last thing she or anyone else could have expected was for him to go over to the side of the "enemy"...but, that is on him not here...I look forward to seeing her on TVONE sunday.

I saw hereand him in Oakland when they visited here...if I ever learn how to put pictures up I will put some up. a lot of famous people would come to visit us at UCD during our Black history week...

I remember one year we were to make an arthnic African hut...it looked easy but it was not...when we finisher all of the professors wanted it to take home with them. we made three. I still have the pictures of them. ONe of the young lady who said she could make found out see did little it was her mom who did the work so we spent a lot of phone time talking to Africa that year. But it was such fun ad turned out beautifil it was made out of larg leaves and it was a solid hut and perfect when we finished it.

But, we know that Winnie Mandela is a strong woman bar none and her counrty means so much to her so she is going to be aright. My good friend is always saying how they broke Mandela, but she had never been able to explain what she means and I see or hear so little about him any more...he is up in age and should be allowed to rest and have othere wait on him. He has done enough.

No, Winnie is going to be too busy to have time to be bitter...she is too strong and she knows exactly who she is and where she wants to be.
