Yesterday, I sat waiting on the Baylor vs Duke showdown. Not for any other reason other than I’m from Texas and always pull for the local team (although Baylor is @ least 3 hrs away). I was even more excited b/c this school hasn't been on a national stage like this since the 1950s and it's known for 'medicine''? How cool is that?!
But then it became quite apparent what I was watching. An all-Black team vs an all-White team — almost literally — and the all-White team won! In shooting hoops! You know, 'OUR' sport?
So, here we are in the 21st Century & we find …
The best two teams in college basketball are quite possibly all-White (Duke vs that B-team whose name escapes me)
The 'WHITE' House is occupied by a Black family.
The head of the Grand Ol’ [Boys] Party (GOP) is a Black boy.
The tallest player in pro basketball is … Chinese?
One of the best skaters on ice is … Black?
The world's best golfer is Black.
The baddest heavy boxer in the world is White (Russian).
What next … some White guys are going to own BET? LOL
(Oh wait, they do. DARN! The world really has changed!)
I wonder if Jesse & Al will boycott the NCAA Finals if two all-White teams vie for the championship? Just wondering.
