The Queen's Chair: My April Fool's Day Blog (183 hits)

I woke up this morning and remembered it was April Fool's Day. This morning, I was busy getting half-asleep children out the door. It was no laughing metter. They both were running late, but made their respective buses. I can't wait until they come home; I have a few pranks in mind for them.

Then I checked my e-mail. I like playing pranks as well as the next guy. Google announced they had changed their name. Our local musuem announced that they had opened up an office in outer space. I left a funny message for my FB status and sent a message to a dear high school friend. Several of our mutual friends LOVED it. I believe in playing harmless pranks; I won't do anything hurtful.

My Moms-like-me editor tried to convince all of us bloggers that today was Friday, but I was on to her. The funniest hgag I saw this morning: Hoda Kopte's blind date on The Today Show. The look on her face was priceless. Kathy Lee Gifford put a profile of her on a cougar website with her name spelled wrong. Her three dating choice: a 70-year-old man, a 20-year-old-college student, and a 30-year-old professional. The crew was laughing so hard; she wasn't sure whether this was real or not. It was real, but she had a good sense of humor.

For me, April Fool's Day is all about the funny. Life is too short and you need to lighten up on "its serious" mode. It's April 1st, spring is here, and Easter is this weekend. My morning started off with a good laugh. I'm so happy.
