Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too? (287 hits)

Saw Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married Too?" on Saturday. I enjoyed the movie. It was different from the first movie, more emotional towards the end. I'm happy for Tyler because he is an independent artist. What he has accomplished has been rarely pulled off by anyone. Most folks in the entertainment industry come in under the umbrella of a major "already established" firm. Tyler didn't come in that way. He came in on his own, and I so salute that! It takes courage and a strong belief in what you can do through our Source.

In the movie, I thought Janet Jackson showed another level of depth to her acting that I hadn't seen before. I hope this causes her to land more, deep acting roles, because she can fill them.

Did anyone else see the movie? If so, what did you think about it and what are your thoughts about independent artists? Folks who mount courage and strike out on their own? And have you ever thought about starting your own business, entertainment company, etc.? If you have thought about it, what are you doing to make that happen?

I loved it. Absolutely loved it...though I think it ended rather abruptly. There was a lot of deep dialogue in this movie. I went to see it with my church group-- mostly couples. it was deep for the most part.

I'm even looking at Janet differently now.

Blessings...

My girlfriend and I saw the first one together...she called me today and told me she had gone to see this one today and is ready to go back to see it again as soon as I am ready to go see it...

She surprised me saying that this one is much better then the first one, because as a rule the first one is always the best one...I can't wait to see it. (smile)
