It's a horse race. What's the big deal? I don't get it.
The news media are highlighting women's hats, the drinks, the food and the celebrities attending, but haven't really said anything about the horses. No mention of the favorites. NBC's Natalie Morales and Al Roker will be walking down the event's red carpet. Please. Like I said, it's a horse race. I don't care who wins, places, or show. I won't be watching.
I think horse racing (like football and golf) shouldn't be watched on TV. You have to see them in person. Basically, The Kentucky Derby's a great excuse for a whole bunch of people to throw a fabulous outdoor party where its attendants can get drunk. I don't need to see that. Let alone see that on TV. Can anyone tell me the name of last year's winner?
If I want to see a bunch of drunk people having a good time; I'll go to a nearby bar.j
