Reparations: Is President Obama duping the AA Comminuty?

Check out this thought provoking article by Dexter Rogers in which he ask the question. If Obama can give millions to Phillipine WWII veterans and billions to Native Americans for their mistreatment why can't he do the same for African Americans whose forfathers endured slavery. Clark, I totally agree with you. Reparations would indeed be a breath of fresh air for our people but other than that, there will be business as usual. Meaning the corporate world will continue to abuse our people and Jews will pull the strings.

My #1 concern right now is how Obama will handle the war taking place overseas. Obama is stuck between a rock and a hard place because if he decides to bring home the troops, there will certainly be different groups gunning for power.

No! I didn't know about the reparations made for the American Indians and the Phillipines. It's possible that this was used as a ploy to insight the Blacks to anger. But truth be told, reparation would have more meaning if it were delivered to us by the race that bears the regret for the actions of their forefathers.
You say if there were reparation, who would be it's recipient? I think that all those who live below the poverty level should recieve it. This type of money can easily be used to pay off debts and invest in a better future. Just think of how many people (use to penny pinching) making a purchase of the new home they've always wanted, something that they can leave behind for their children.

All should know me by now and what I will be meaning about please give some of your time to looking at this whole issue from the A-A's BIA point of view...as in truth this is more about our history via our culture as rekated ti equal justice than money. (smile)

and, just taking a good look at Arizona is why even we are not pressing this issue right now and God's knows it has nothing to do with the president's skin color as this fight was going on long before his birth or the 60s even...therefore I will repeat this is not about politics, money or race, (as we have no power in any of these conditions right now) but equality when it comes to justice...(smile)

..oh, even better just look at how the government settled reprations with the Japanese, the Indian treaties...they tried to do this with us with Affirmative -Action and we see how this got used against us...Money nor sweaaping this under the rug will satisfy those who are actually devoted to working on thsi..or you would know in rreality why Rev Lawery was giving the prayer at the innogration. HE IS THE LEAD IN THIS FIGHT, BUT YOU WILL NOT FIND THIS ON FOX NNOR ON ANY CNN SPECIAL ON BIA...WHICH IS TO OUR FULL ADVANTAGE.(smile
