OH! IT’S CHAINS OF REACTIONS!
Fayette County, TN
05.31.2010
Memorial weekend car crashes are not uncommon, and yesterday one occurred which shutdown traffic on Interstate 40-West during the busy holiday rush hour. Sources stated that a burgundy BMW headed eastbound ended with the driver’s death. Witnesses involved in the crashes said that the driver of the BMW car came across the median in front of a Camry and collided on its side. One of the more fortunate drivers said he was blessed as he moved out way of the chains of reaction. However, he stated that he could have been killed as he was viewing one car hit another and another banging front to rear over and over again. There was noted that there were two chain reactions of cars which caused the interstate to close down for several hours. Several people were hospitalized for injuries in the two-chain automobiles of accidents. The Tennessee Law enforcers said people really need to slow down during holiday driving and it’s always best to follow speed limits.

The stars and stripes have a seamstress that uses old and tattered U.S. Flags to create mementos for the troops. The 68 year old Andrea Doherty says she is giving old flags a new purpose by making them accountable to someone’s life. Doherty is assisted with help from her husband and children when it comes to cutting the pieces. “We cut the blue field first, fold the strips and they are put aside. “All pieces are kept because it’s respect to the flag. There’s a protocol there.” quoted Mrs. Doherty. The worn flags are donated from homes, and businesses in the Mid-South and Doherty has given out nearly 6,000 stars with requests for 1,300 more and counting which will be given to Memphis troops and or those from Memphis who are sent to Iraq. Oh, isn’t her is mission small and great!
OH!...The stars have a card attached with this message:
“I can no longer fly.
In the sun and the wind,
I have beentattered and torn,
But not forgotten.
You are not forgotten."
“OOOOOH……How sweet.”

OH! … HURRICANE SEASON BEGINS
Memphis, TN
05.31.2010
The City of Memphis is preparing to help victims during this year’s hurricane season. As the active time of hurricanes and storms approaches many evacuees take to coming to Memphis as a resources of their temporary hometown. Memphis has sheltered many evacuees from Katrina and Gustav hurricanes-- and this year Bob Nations who heads the Shelby County Office of Preparedness says Memphis is ready and can mobilize victims of hurricanes very quickly. The director of the Red Cross in Mid-South, Robert Hoguet learn from the past two large storms and has trained more volunteers to support in emergencies that may happen. Hoguet also indicated that sources from May storms did drain monies from it’s resources and the State of Tennessee has recently opted out of a FEMA contract to provide housing and or shelters for any future evacuees. Nations insists that no one will be turned away, and that many non-profits and faith based organizations and the chamber of commerce are strong supporters for those who would require any necessary aid.
“Dorothy might wind up in with Todo in Memphis!...or OHland.. “Oh.. Todo!”
“Oh.. by the way.. The hurricane season starts on June 01, 2010 and ends November 30.”

WE HAVE TO GO…OH:>(…
Memphis, TN

Victims of the recent flooding in the Frayser and Millington areas in Shelby County will have to evacuate the shelter at the Ed Rice Center today because they will no longer provide the shelter as the center is closing. At least 100 families lost their mobile homes last month when flood waters ruined everything they had. The Red Cross and FEMA will be assisting these families with other shelters until they are able to provide from themselves. So the families are packing up and moving on to their new temporary housing, or for some new locations to live.
Oh! That’s a relief…I was hoping they wouldn’t be left without no place to go!
OH!...
OH! NO YOU’RE NOT!...SAID GRANDMA!!!

Memphis, TN
Saturday night, during a front door confrontation, a Memphis woman went to visit her said boyfriend at his grandmother’s home. While at the door the grandmother refused to let the woman inside to see him. Taking out a knife, the woman cut the grandmother’s arms several times sending her to the hospital. The girlfriend was arrested and is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon. It is unclear why the grandmother would not allow the said girlfriend inside the house. The boyfriend’s Grandmother was released in satisfactory condition from her wounded arms.
“What! " What kind of girlfriend he’s got?" OMG!... OH! She’s something else!...”
