Yvonne seem to be unaware of what has been going on in the church environment. As an observer she should have saw things going on that didn't seem normal. Love is an emotion that doesn't have a respector of persons, especially if the majority are woman attending.

Although Yvonne is entitled to her opinions and beliefs, she should be careful that her actions aren't crossing the lines to hate and being judgemental. Although the woman might not like the idea of Gay marriages (she should opt not to attend the civil ceremonies), but she shouldn't let that stand in the way of her attending church there. Her actions to leave are just not settling well with me and if I were that lesbian friend of hers, she would be shown the "Hand"! Yvonne left her church in disgust so my question to her would be how is her actions any different from some White people who move out of their neighborhoods when Blacks start moving in? I think its no different. Somehow this woman feels that she has a right to discriminate by using religion. Me personally, I don't feel that we should exclude gay couples from churches because they need God like anyone else. As far as civil unions goes, I think that we should allow God to judge the Gay/Lesbian community. All we need to do is what the Bible teaches us to do --- Love them unconditionally. I've always had great appreciation for the GLBT community, because they are human beings first, besided that God loves them and so do I. Just my 2 cents worth.

This reminds me of a close friend of mine. She could not stand gays or lesbians until her daughter brought a friend girl home with her over the holidays from college once. My friend could not stop talking about what fun they all had had , that is until her daughter told her the truth (?!) about their lesbian relationship. No, my friend's daughter is not a lesbia (?!?) , but she got her mother to reform on this matter, for ever and ever. loooooooooooooool (smile)
