(QM's Note: Rohel Duncan's aunt is the owner of LJ's in Rochester, New York. He also was a student in my writing class at School # 16 with Mrs. Cowles and Mrs. Shaw Elliott. This was what he wanted to share with me about his family and himself. Enjoy!)
My name is Rohel Duncan and I'm writing about my aunt's restaurant. LJ's is the name of the restaurant. It is located at 360 Thurston Road and a lot of people go there. However, some of the food they serve are oxtails, jerk chicken, curried chicken and curried goat and fish. They also serve drinks, too. The restaurant is a Jamaican restaurant that serves Jamaican drinks.
We serve delicious food and it also has a bar and you can buy liquor to drink. A lot of West Indian folks eat there. I also eat there because the food taste wonderful. Plus, my teachers Mrs. Cowles and Mrs. Shaw Elliott bought some food from there.
The restaurant has been around for six years now. My mother used to work there, but she stopped. Afterwards, they also serve cake there. This is another branch of the restaurant downtown and it's called LJ's II. However, my twin cousin sometimes works there and gets paid money.
