Just Searching for New Ideas from BIA Creative Minds (1337 hits)

Next month, I will be hosting my third annual "IN THE BLACK" Black Business Empowerment Summit in Houston. The theme this year is, "Gathering of Eagles".

To give you a little insight, the first year didn't really have a theme other than the name itself. Last year's theme was "Black Wall Street Now". The prior two each featured different guest speakers presented in a completely different format. The first one we had the traditional podium, one speaker at a time. Last year I brought in a local radio personality to conduct three person interviews "in the round" -- executive round table & chairs in the middle of the room with seating all around.

This year I've got some ideas but would love to hear what some of you may have to offer.

Thanks, Earl. I was thinking more of the event itself. As in presentation of guests. It may be a stretch, as this could be an area where an event planner earns his/her paycheck. Thanks for reading, though.

I think of the soaring.... high.... if they are perched... always in the tallest of the trees .... looking down.... watching ..... that's why they are birds of Prey!! Place him High... It fits into your theme...

thank God for graphics.... yep you in that armor makes you look.... like a true Gladiator!!! But we already know the real u!!! lol... im kidding....

I saw your site... signed your guest book.... and i like the idea you had with different interviewers... you could almost go with the same idea... have several rooms for each speaker... allowing each one the opportunity to have ability to speak directly to the ones whom are interested...

I've attended summitts too only get bored and distracted waiting to hear the information that I was specifically there to listen too

Great Craig I love any things related to UNITY...

It would be nice to have a panel discussing the wants, needs and expectations of todays tech as a positive / negative as directly related to the every day ordinary ( maybe working poor) common local community things that can help start jump our economy...

Persoanlly I am concerned in more middle-class jobs once again being sent to the south with no union pay, benefits or just shiped out of our country so the big busines can continue to pollute our planet / CEO can continue getting those out ragious bonus for out sourcing these jobs...
