Remember the movie, Cornbread, Earl and me? That's when we got introduced to a little boy named Larry Fishburne. He went on to star in such films as The Color Purple and was the man we hated in What's Love Got To Do With It. We see him week nights on the show, CSI. I almost broke a dish this morning because I found out that his daughter is as an actress too. She is known as Dippy or DD in the world of adult movies. My mouth hit the grown and my first thought was: What went wrong? I'm shocked! I know people have to pay their dues, but come on. And why isn't dad voicing any displeasure about this? I have so many questions. I don't think we'll ever get any answers. Just reminds what Chris Rock jokes about: the only job in life that ha dad has is to make sure that his daughter doesn't end up on a pole. She may not be dancing on one, but this is just a shame. Fishburne's final grade: F.

You bring up a VERY good point. Mothers always take the heat when their go astray. I wanted to focus mainly on Mr. Fishburne. Since he's in the business, he should have offered advice and guided his daughter. I just can't believe it. I assuming mom knows nothing of the industry. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. Now, Mr. Fishburne is a different story. He's done movies and TV. It's the very least he could have done.

Marsha your blog's title is a great attention grabber! Love that... I think perhaps Mr. Fishbourne did try to teach his daughter other places of applying her acting abilities in film, but sometimes our children will do just the opposite and do what they want. Since she is fully grown, I don't feel he is responsible for her chosen career. I also feel he or her mother taught her better things she could be. Most parents want their children to stay in good teachings, but we must remember as parents --if, or when our children become prodigal-- it's our hope they'll venture back home from the pig's stye. I think as a good parent..he'll be waiting for her. Nice blog Marsha!

Laurence Fishburne's daughter Montana "Chippy D" Fishburne has put together a s*x tape in hopes to become a big star like Kim Kardashian. "I've watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her s*x tape," she told TMZ. Read more: http://www.worstpreviews.com/headline.php?...

Sometimes no matter what Queen Mother and Father says or does, when their baby becomes old enough to make decisions for herself, then the onus is on her. She ain't no child any more. She is a grown woman making irresponsible and self-destructive decisions. Folks, put the blame where it belongs. Now with that said, why is it so appalling and surprising for Fishburne's daughter to make a bonehead move, when every single day, our 'adult' children are making far worse decisions in life? Let us stop putting Hollywood folks in a different category. Everyone is Whacked out these days. Race nor financial status nor mommy/daddy status has anything to do with squat. @ Miisrael and Faith: I guess I'm old school. I know she's a grown woman and kids do make stupid mistakes look at the Bush twins. I remember how my parents brought us up to not embarrass them in public or otherwise because it was a reflection of them. I still hold that mentality and I'm in my 40s. Paying your dues was too much to ask of her? Instant stardom that's the problem I have with this current generation. They need to earn their fame in sweat and hard work...not between the sheets.

I'm just caught up because WOW!! He's so positive... Strong.... I mean he's MR. Styles from Boyz In The Hood... I guess sometimes I am caught up in the status of some of our African American Achievers that I see them on a different level... I don't take anything that happens as a consequence against him or his parenting style.. Or place blame on choices that "our" children make... But as for me... I definitely feel that if I did not live up to the expectations that my grandfather passed on to me... I would feel really bad... And my grandfather has long past gone... But I still view myself as "grandaddy's little girl" and even in my adult life... I try to live according to his instructions he's passed on to me...

Sure Marsha..I'm Old School too, and a bit quite a bit over them 40's..[Smiles] Careful as we are as parents with our children, they still will have their own lives and sooner or later they will make own decisions some good and some not so good. Most of all, we want them to decide well. We love and them, and keep them aware of their bad actions will have likely have consequences. With sheets on or off, she'll be the one who'll have to decide to turn from her solicited lifestyle. If she has a consious of what she's been taught she'll soon depart for it. Much as we chat about it... Martha... I think "It's just one of them thangs!" WOW!

I blame Mr. Fishbourne. He should use his influence like Will and Jada to get their kids into the business, but I think he's deliberately dug in his heels to keep her out of the biz~~ now look what it's caused. John Travolta is allowing his daughter into the biz so what's Lawrence afraid of? He's being overly protective and now look at the shame that he's bringing on his family.

It looks like I owe Mr. Fishburne an apology. I'm sorry. His daughter appears to be a freak or is mentally not all there. Read this! Montana Fishburne Prostitution Bust: Laurence Fishburne's Daughter Arrested Last Year E! Online: It turns out Laurence Fishburne may have been bristling at his daughter's career choices for some time now. Court records obtained by E! News show that Montana Fishburne, who's making her adult-film debut this month in Vivid Entertainment's cleverly titled Montana Fishburne, was arrested last year for alleged prostitution and only avoided jail by signing up for a work-alternative program.
