Since 1865, The Emancipation Proclamation was written proof that Black Americans were free in this country. We know slavery still exist. Latin Immigration generated a cesspool of Latin American slaves in this country. Too, Black Americans that were unfamiliar a life making their own decisions, caved back into to domestic slavery jobs from white people. We have 100 years of Black Nationalism in this country from Nobel Drew Ali and Marcus Garvey to Nation of Islam and Black Hebrew Israelites. By now, black Americans should have an idea that they are free. Both Black women and black men must learn how to let go. Lets take black women first: you were the slavemasters pleasure at will. He FORCED HIMSELF on you. He VIOLATED YOU....but you are free now. You can bond with the man of your dreams not with the whip. Black Men...HE HUNG you if your speech was contrary you were unruly. But, now you are free to think. Now you can speak. HE BEAT you if you did now worship him. Now, you are free to worship your choice. Bottom line, White people do not own any black women. Any black women thinks that a white man owns them is sadly confused and mistaken. They do have a choice to say NO. Black Women can and have a God given right to say No to the Caucasian Race. Black Women have a right since her birth to say NO to The White Man and his advances.

Just a fyi Brother Jamal,
Not all the slave women had slave masters forced on them~~~ some were willing participants like Sally and Thomas. I'm sure there were many others, but for the sake of keeping face they pretended not to enjoy. I hope that in time you guys will get it together and stop all the foolish talk about the White man.
Life is what you make of it whether it's in America or whether it's in Africa or Europe. No one is after the Black man~~ its a figment of your imagination.

Hello Ms. Jen,
I do believe that Ms. Sally came to love genuinely President Thomas Jefferson, as I believe he loved her as well.
I personally believe Ms. Sally’s relationship as well as yours is exceptions to the general rule. However, I do not think that is the essence of the point being made.
I think that when I read the fingerprint of creation I get the wisdom that Blacks are to be naturally attracted to each other as Koreans would be naturally attracted to each other.
On the other hand, what you read out of creation is that it is a free for all and that is not so. Am I making any sense with you?

This is mendacious perhaps with good intentions. In the case of Black Americans only by an act of God could Black Americans be sovereign free.
Black Americans will know they are sovereign when Black Americans would have their hands on the helm of their own destiny in a country of our own with borders.
This was the case with the children of Israel. They knew that they were free when they had to make decisions for themselves, am I right. The children of Israel knew that there was free when they braved the natural obstacles that nature hurled at them that they overcame. Am I making any sense with you?
The unnatural obstacles that Black Americans have always faced were the obstacles White Americans hurled.
Therefore, how could you say that the Emancipation Proclamation is proof that Black Americans are a free people in this country unless you are ignorant? Please explain?

Brother Harry,
I'm married to an African (non African American) man. My case is exceptional in the sense that I've been spared all the backward thinking that comes from my own people thinking that White Men are somehow holding them back. Puhleeze give it a rest already. Is this the reason immigrants can come to the US and go far beyond citizens of their own country? Stop the madness. Get off the drugs.

Jen,
I agree that the white man can not hold us back unless we let them. I also believe that you did not mean "backwards thinking from your people that white men are holding them back"; because I do not believe that. Each person on these blogs are individuals and they are talking from their own experiences and situations; or that of a friend of loved one. So please, this is to eveyone blogging don't catagorize a group when talking to an individual or individual.

Jacqueline, you raise an interesting point. Examples serve well in conveying ideology so lets take affirmative action. Basically, it addressed a group of people. Companies were compelled to hire members of this group and avoid risk of loosing government contracts and other benefits. Though, I am a individual, I benefited by this group legislation. My point, whether we like it or not, we are born members of a group. It becomes a matter of our "reality check" to determine what group we belong.
