I CAN AND I WILL vs. I CAN AND I DON'T (355 hits)

Neglecting doing something can be a personal choice and often you can do something and you really go and do it. Then there are times or opportunities you can do something and you just actually don't. Whatever reason(s) you may have for doing ; or not doing something, whatever it is --you shouldn't always refuse to do something you are sure you can do.

We all know that story of "The Little Engine That Could." Up that large mountain he kept saying: "I think I can"..over and over-- until finally he triumphed over the hill and continued on his next journey after he succeeded the climb. Even though this is a child's story it's very much applicable to the young and the old.

There are certain situations you may have that you can, and will find the will to complete and do. .. And that's versus things you are capable of doing that you never do at all! If you are refusing things you know you can do; you could be avoiding and leaving out a unique expereience of learning and knowledge. No, you won't be able to do everything! But, you also will never know if you never give it a try. That's taking a challenge!. Life is loaded with challenges isn't it? Challenges can be stumbling blocks and stepping stones, most times it really how you view them. Are you facing a challenge(s)? The only way to face up with a challenge is to START with the first step to act on it. Eyes closed --or opened...you go! That's an act of Faith....

Ponder on this saying...

"I am only one; but still I am one."
"I cannot do everything, but still I can do something;...I will not refuse to do something I can do."--HELEN KELLAR

She knew how to see a lot of things!

You know me ....I can see blowing out bubbles!...

Saint Jake it's really not so deep...more so just finding motivation to a challenge. Often so many people in general , but particulary many young Blacks feel less motivated to just use acts of faith...and just go! They tend to want to stay on the land and fear walking on the water. That faith can allow them to overcome challenges. Perhaps this blog will give some encouragement and motivation to a reader.

Thanks for your comment friend.

Good Morning Sista...
That's very nice.... ENLIGHTENING.. I try to take things all in strive... But I guess with all of the short fuses and the stubborness we are all sharing alike. Things just seem to be more than one can bare. It's frustrating how we all use to get on each others blogs and entertain each other in some way, but now... We are all guarding our forts, scrambling in certain corners. I find it a bit sad... and exhausting. We can't share ideas and insight with each other if we refuse to communicate with each other. I too am guilty, pride and stubborness is the big factor.

Helen Keller... had the greastest obstacles to achieve and yet she lead a very fruitful and productive life. Helen Keller was not born blind and deaf. Around 19 months she became ill... Meningitis some say, Scarlet Fever some say, none the less it left in in total isolation from the real world. Anne Sullivan came into her life and brought little Helen life, and sight!...

Hello Doc..Honey Bee...
You've given me some good knowlege this morning...you can be quite a teacher. What we do sometimes...me included can really slow us down a lot. I think though when we are kept aware of things which are useful to us we then start to become more productive in our accomplishments. Helen showed us a great example. We have a history of being a people of great achievers...we have to continue to forge in fighting. This war is often within ourselves. Deep within we have to start having more of the same faith we found from our ancestors.

It's not my spiritual state; it's my psychological and mental state that becomes overwhelmed.

At one point I enjoyed this site, now Im beginning to think it's nothing more than the same mentallity I deal with on a constant basis from the man on the street.

You've said it! I get tired too. I have to stay my own encourager in many matters. Weeks and days have gone by where I didn't know what to or how to face the unknown in front of me. I just went in faith. This might sound so limp in just hearing about having faith, but we have to believe in that spirit. You are gifted and you have every aspect in determination. I tell myself this as well. I know you won't give up and neither will I. It's nice to have people like you and others here, I've found many supportive ideas and I've learn from reading and watching how people are different, but are also in many ways the same.

Sure, we can hide behind this computer screen many disappointments and failures, and we can also show that we are not without fault. That's real...in being real we shed light. I'm holding your hand. ....

Keep positive Doc! .. I'm still here for a time. When imy time here is over...I'll take up another challenge and move on. However, the things I've adventured here with being here will follow me and I'll have it come with another kind of connection.

I can take off from land into the water without sinking..."That's a concept for an idea!" [Smiles] Walk.

I remember how moved I was when Patty Duke played H.K. when she finally got to be able to get the word "water". Whow, what a beautiful war of wills that paid off so great for them both at that moment.(smile)

Mother nature has made it so our body is going to always make up for what we loos eand still needs.and will do it one way or the other. by making something in on our body or in our mind how to make up for the loss . (smile)
