Black women on a budget make hair cutbacks (103 hits)

According to a 2009 survey conducted by Design Essentials, 36 percent of African-American women have significantly reduced their regular visits to the hair salon.

How do the ladies on BIA feel about this issue???????????????????????

I know that's right. I frequent the beauty supply stores and I can't remember the last time I was in a hair salon.

I'm sorry... the hair and the feet gotta look pretty... but in all honest.. I did my own relaxer last month because it is so hot an unbearable .. I figured by the time I pay my $70.00 for my hair do! and by the following day.. the moisture, heat and sweat would kill that time I wasted...
