The Difference Between Christianity and Islam Islam, as revealed in the recent actions of the Ayatollah, is a religion of legalistic demands and merciless vengeance. True Christianity, on the opposite side of the spectrum, is characterized by love, forgiveness, and internal obedience to the indwelling Holy Spirit. Christianity will overcome the power of Islam by coming in an opposite spirit of love and forgiveness, rather than hatred, control, and vindictive violence. In comparing Islam and Christianity, a good beginning is to examine the lives of Jesus and Mohammed. Jesus lived a sinless life, whereas Mohammed prayed earnestly and frequently for forgiveness of his sins. Jesus never conducted any bloody crusades, however, Mohammed fought or led in 66 battles. Jesus never ordered the death of anyone; Mohammed ordered the death of many men and women who refused to be converted to Islam. Jesus’s goal was to establish His kingdom internally in the heart of man first, and then let it affect the world; Mohammed wanted an earthly empire built by external obedience. Christianity is based on mercy and love for its enemies, whereas Islam requires the sword for its enemies. Jesus was crucified for the sins of the world and was resurrected on the third day. Mohammed died from pneumonia at age 62. The Koran accurately describes the life, ministry, and divinity of Jesus Christ; however, the importance of the Cross is devalued because of the belief that Jesus “cast his likeness onto another man and that another man was crucified instead of Jesus.“3 Redemption and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ are irrelevant to most Muslims, whereas for Christians it is a fundamental belief. Muslims believe salvation is by works and repentance from sin. Therefore the power of atonement resident in the Cross is of no relevance. The Cross is just an empty religious symbol. For Christians, however, the cross is the avenue to becoming a new creature in Christ (II Corinthians 5:17). The sinful nature of man, which can’t be changed by good deeds, must be dealt with, and a sinless sacrifice is needed to present to God. Thus the Cross is not only significant for atonement; it is the place of reconciliation between God and man. How will the “Satanic fury” of militant Islam be stopped? There is only one force in the world which has the power to deliver man from hatred and violence – and that is the Christian gospel. The message of Jesus Christ’s love and atonement has, in past centuries, tamed the barbarians of northern Europe, civilized the West, caused wars to cease, and liberated nations from dictatorship. It will be no different in the Muslim world. One day Christian liberty will blanket the Middle East, and the world will be a much safer place as a result.

pagan Muslims have killed in the name of the false god and now they want to bring god to black America's who dont know the truth Mohammad slept with a dead body and you want me to follow this false lying pagan religion jesus is the truth ! The Kabah was of pagan origin. 1. Many local pagan sanctuaries like the Kaba at Mecca. 2. Muhammad's tribe was in charge of "Allah's" sanctuary in Mecca. 3. "In northern Arabia, certain tribes looked after particular sanctuaries." (Britannica, Arabian Religions, p1059, 1979) 4. Not only do both the Holy Bible and archaeology contradict this claim, the sound Hadith itself makes it impossible for Abraham and Ishmael to be the ones who built the Kabah: "I said, "O Allah's Apostle! Which mosque was built first?" He replied, "Al-Masjid-ul-Haram." I asked, "Which (was built) next?" He replied, "Al-Masjid-ul-Aqs-a (i.e. Jerusalem)." I asked, "What was the period in between them?" He replied, "Forty (years)." He then added, "Wherever the time for the prayer comes upon you, perform the prayer, for all the earth is a place of worshipping for you."" (Hadith, Sahih al-Bukhari 55:636, Narrated Abu Dhaar). This Hadith affirms that the Kaba was actually built long after Abraham and Ishmael had died. Abraham lived about 2000 BC and the Temple was built by Solomon in about 958-951 BC. This implies that the Kabah was built approximately 998-991 BC. If Muhammad is correct, then the Quran is wrong. But if the Quran is correct in stating that Abraham and Ishmael built the Kaba, then the Hadith is wrong. Yet, if this particular Hadith is wrong then this throws into question the authenticity of the entire Hadith collections, especially Bukhari's collection which is considered to be the most reliable and authentic collection

The kingdoms of South Arabia, known to have flourished from the 1st millennium Bc, included the kingdoms of Ma'in, Saba, Qatabdn, Awsdn, Hadramawt, and Himyar. With a decline in economic fortunes after the 1st century BC because of changes of Greco-Roman trade routes to India, the centre of population and cultural influence shifted northward from the Yemen to the Hejaz, which was ruled in the early Christian centuries by Ethiopia. Though the religion of South Arabia was polytheistic, the monotheistic communities of Jews and Christians in the Hejaz gained in influence. The break of the Ma'rib Dam in the Yemen (C. AD 575), which brought about the collapse of irrigation in the area, was an event which later Islamic tradition saw as dramatizing the eclipse of ancient South Arabian culture.

In the official cults of the South Arabian kingdoms, the devotees venerated most highly a triad of deities that were astral in character: the moon god, the sun goddess, and the god equated with the planet Venus. Each of these deities bore a variety of names, depending on the region, or on a particular attribute of the divinity. Chief among the triad was the moon god, who was the protector of the principal cities. The people of the various kingdoms and areas referred to themselves as his offspring, each under a different name: the Sabaeans were the children of Ilumquh ("God Is Power"), the Minaeans the children of Wadd ("Love"), the Qatabdnians the children of 'Amm ("Uncle"), and the people of Hadramawt the offspring of Sin (the name of the moon god in ancient Babylonia). In each region other names of the moon god appear, derived from aspects of the lunar cycle or other attributes. Next among the triad was Venus, the morning and evening star, named 'Athtar, who also had a variety of attributes. Third was the sun goddess, whose principal name, Shams, was common to the various kingdoms, like 'Athtar, but whose paired epithets, describing contrasting aspects, varied locally. Despite the prominence of the name elsewhere among Semitic peoples, the god Il (EI) appears to play a comparatively minor role in the South Arabian inscriptions. Some modem scholars have sought to explain this circumstance by equating Il with the moon god, but this opinion has not prevailed.
