Sugarhill gang- Rapper's delight! (426 hits)

The Sugarhill gang inaugurated the history of recorded hip-hop with their single "Rapper's Delight," a multi-platinum seller and radio hit in 1979.
This was four years before my birth, I love this lyrical and rhythmic hip-hop music!!

Saint, this reminds me of when I was in college... there was a contest in the college gym and Rapper's Delight happened to be one of the songs being played. This was around the summer in 1999. The bet was if you can sing Rapper's Delight from beginning to end without forgeting any of the lyrics you will receive $1,000...a few of my friends participated and needless to say no one won that day...LOL!!!
