At a food giveaway program for 200 underprivileged residents in Miami, the boss is on hand, helping out. One of the smallest philanthropists around, 9-year-old Joshua Williams, is president of Joshua's Heart Foundation which feeds the poor and visits the elderly.
"Sometimes they are lonely and sad, so we went there to cheer them up, and make them happier," says the giving youngster. At his insistence, his mother, Claudia Mclean helped set up the foundation three years ago and it has endured with the help of grants and donations, feeding approximately 7,000 people.

But Joshua's charity began years before he started the foundation at just 4-years-old. Even at that age, Joshua gave away a twenty dollar gift from his grandmother to a homeless man. "I felt sad for the man, he was poor, he was weak, he had no place to stay," says the boy. Joshua was then further influenced by a feed the children foundation TV commercial. The charity has attracted sponsors, classmates and adult volunteers.
This giving youngster's latest endeavor? Trying to raise money to provide children meals on weekends when they are away from school.
"This is a young man who has literally brought a piece of heaven to this city and to this community."
