The Queen's Chair: Make Up Your Mind About President Obama (481 hits)

This is the time of year, I really hate. We are at the mid-way election point. The economy hasn't turned around fast enough for people. People are still losing homes, out of work, and no new job creation and growth has occurred. Some Americans blame President Obama for our predicament and some are calling him the Anti-Christ. I don't think so.

First of all, some think President Obama is a secret Muslim. They based that on his name and the fact that he believes in a silly thing called freedom of religion. It was one of the principles that our country was founded on. He gets criticized for that. When he got elected, he was practicing his Christian faith in a church. America criticized his choice of minister and he had to change so he wouldn't offend anyone.

Anti-Christ? Do you realize what you are saying? Former President Ronald Wilson Reagan was accused of being that because he had six letters in each of his names. Forget that his Reaganomics policies hurt the poor, people of color, and caused great suffering. Forget that his leadership resulted in a big increase in the drug trade. And that he showed no compassion for his fellow man. The rich got richer. At least President Obama's so-called "socialist policies" have helped millions keep their homes and jobs. Banks were called on the carpet for questionable practices and Wall Street, the housing industry and credit card companies got their wrists slapped too.

Using the term "Anti-Christ" is a double edge sword. Anti-Christ means going against God. The devil is the opposite of God. Anything you do on a Sunday first besides going to church could be viewed as being against God. Playing golf, staying home because you are tired or want to take a break from church can be viewed as Un-God like.

I know it will be a long time before we elect another black President. It took eight years to create this mess and if you expect it to clear up in two years, think again.
All I have to say is that I wouldn't call President Obama an Anti-Christ. He has shown his heart and he is fighting for us. I would reserve that term for his enemies and those supporters jumping ship.

I find it amusing Sister Irma what you have posted, because to many people President Obama is some type of Christ/saviour. I don't think he's my saviour but a man who was destined to rule America after President Bush. It was the right time or shall I say it was Obama's time.

@ Sister Marsha,
I feel that the reason we aren't seeing the change we need is because our Senators and Reps in Congress are playing games with the American people. Instead of helping us with the economy, they are busy making back room deals in order to be popular with their constituents rather than working for the people.

Here the Republican Right wing Becks and Limbaughs on television & radio spreading fear and lies so that gullible Americans who live from paycheck to paycheck stay blind to the real truth. The Democrats aren't even trying to work with the President~ his own party mbrs.

I am impressed with the legislation that the Obama Admin has passed in such a short time, but some of those Democrats who are up for re-election need to be booted so we can get more people there in Congress who will really work for the people to create jobs.

@ Jen: I agree with you about his own party not working with him, all the back door deals and the Obama Legislation that has been passed. All these Anti-Christ and Muslim comments are working my nerve. The main reason I wrote the blog, Americans really need to make up their own minds. I'm tired of some people thinking everything that is on the internet is factual. People need to learn how to read between the lines and think.

Sister Marsha, here are a few tings I have made up my mind on about our president...

1. He is not a religious savior.
2. He is not a dictator.
3. He can not take away from me my one vote granted me to vote my conscious.
4. He can not take away the powers that my one vote does in granting me the legal right to be the American government.

(smile)

great post...thanks...
