Condoleezza Rice stopped by the "Daily Show" with Jon Stewart on Wednesday to discuss her new book, "Extraordinary, Ordinary People: A Memoir of Family."
While the pair may not agree about politics, Stewart said he had been "charmed" by Rice when they met at a book expo. They spent most of the segment discussing Rice's childhood and experience during the civil rights movement, with tales that ranged from touching to funny.
She explains what it was like growing up under Jim Crow in the Birmingham and why her father did not March with Dr. Martin Luther King.
In a second segment, Rice dove into foreign policy and some domestic politics. Rice, of course, was secretary of state under President George W. Bush.
