WHEN ,,,, I go to church I see a lot of attire that need to be fixed or dresses that are too short ,,,ladies what is this all about and how do you feel when you see stuff like this taking place in GODS HOUSE ???

SOME LADIES LOOK LIKE THEY JUST CAME OUT THE CLUB ,,,
YOU Know THAT DRESS is too tight AND way too short
you bend over and the pastor will pass out
then you look around and its the peaking deacons ,,,with eyes wide open !

Some of the worse people on earth are church people!
Tell me you never heard that before?
Get behind in your car note or rent and ask for a hand from your local preacher, and tell me what he'll say or do.
I'll tell you..." Brother, I, I,.. I'll pray for you!
Don't hold your breath if you expect he'll reach in his wallet or ask the congregation to help you out. He really can't have a bunch of yaw asking at the same time.
Before some people come at me... not all ministers and pastors are this way, but for the most part, most are.
We won't even talk about the ones that party on Saturday, raise hell, and go the next day to get washed white.
Lets mention the sisters that talk about the mini skirt and low cleavage wearers.
How is this Jesus like?
Or what about the ones that are there to date or commit adultery.
You know this is a meetup place don't you for some?
Lastly, ask church folks to support your new business. Will they?
All you need is a handful of them to help you get off the ground. Again Brother, don't hold your breath!
If this wasn't the case overall, we as a people would already be where we want and need to be.
Just like a Bar-B-que joint or bar... there's almost a church on every corner.

its time to really make the black church accountable to the people ,,,
the pastors wife needs to step to these sisters ,,(after she pulls her dress down and cover up ) and teah the people past the bible , jobs ,aids ,awareness,open the church up for after school programs etc ! thee the pastor stop lusting and start teaching ! the couminty has nothing to look forward to ! no social programs that teach parents how to do there job ! so lil mama wants to find a man in church not knowing the church is turning into a play ground for the peeping deacons and pastor s*xmore 1

I agree there should be a dress code in the black church. One day I was driving home from an NOI meeting and there was this woman coming out of a Baptist Church wearing a skin tight dress. Not to make fun of plus sized women, but I wanted to stop my car and say hold up sistagirl hold up you need to STOP buying your clothes at Baby Gap and START buying your clothes at the Big and Swole shop. I know the Bible says come as you are, but homegirl was just ridiculous...

The main purpose for a woman going to church should be to hear God's word, you know, keep the sabbath day holy and not just go there looking for a mate. But if you are in search of a man women should be able to attract a man without looking like a tramp.
I know some women will dress skimpy regardless of what social gathering they may be attending, but homegirl was the most extreme I've seen in all my 29 years of life...LOL

I believe that when one steps in God's House...
Using church etiquette shows that you respect God, other worshipers and the person conducting the service. It is also a way to ensure that everyone present at the service gets to enjoy the service and learn the message that is being presented.

I hear ya Mother Goddess.... I grew up with ministers... my aunt was a mother of the church... we were not allowed to wear anything distracting.... out of order... she sat in that corner front pew... watching like a guard dog... and it meant nothing to her to walk in front of you and tell you to close your legs... little girls don't sit with your legs open... or take her big hankkie and place it over your lap... Now that was most embarrising to have her do something like that..... But those were the good old days when we were taught how to grow in the spirit...

I don't normally comment on such debates,however when you go into church you come as you are it is not our place to judge what someone else is wearing. I believe that God will take care of the rest because in the end we are here to please h...im and him alone. What if we tell someone that their attire is not appropriate, we have no idea what that person is going through and maybe that is the only type of clothing they have. We could of just lost a soul that really needed to be saved. To be in God's house is the first step and God will do the rest so we need to stay out of his way.See More

LaShun Hicks Chatfield I am recalling my childhood right now. There was a man who stayed drunk day in and day out. He came to church every Sunday in clothes that were ragged and he was not clean at all. There was a woman who came that would have dresses that were too short and busts hanging almost out. She was high on drugs. She came every Sunday. Should we have turned them away because of what they wore. No, I don't think so. That man is now a deacon and that woman was saved and was a true witness for the Lord.

Dewayne I am one of those that has wore a short, fitted, and inappropriate clothing to church, but guess what, God transformed me, he did a new thing in my life....and as he started transforming me, I begin to change everything about me fro...m my clothes, my friends, and even the way I talked..God did it, not me...but never once did the church I attend turn me around, look at me any different, or treated me any different. They showed me a Godly love, they taught me I was a woman of intergity and character...and guess what I started realizing that I was and that my body was sacred, so I started dressing differently. No one takes come as you are out of content, people need to understand that God is not concerned about your clothes, hes concerned about your heart. You can be dressed in the finest clothing and still go to hell, hurt in the inside but trying to cover it up, God is looking for Kingdom Builders at this day and time....we as Believers need to Get our own life in order and focus on the Big picture which is winning people to Christ not clothingSee More

That use to be me when I was 18 I would wear short skirts but since I have grown in the Lord no I would feel uncomfortable. I try not to judge people and what they wear but sometimes people do go overboard with thongs hanging out of there p...ants and shirts so low cut everything about to pop out or pants looking like they have been spray painted on I believe Yes the pastor or the mothers of the church should aproach these women. Every situation is different. Now if you are in an auxillary at church you should always dress appropriate you are representing that church.This in my opinion is why people have a problem with church because its all the same if the christians are doing and dressing the same way as you say the world then why change but its up to that individual to want to change and grow in Christ. Lakisha Golly I agree Detra....Yes I have been and I do speak up trust me all the time and I dont feel im wrong. I feel if your homeless or dont have alot of money and you dont have the money for clothes the church can step up to help (mission department) but if you have a job you could buy something more appropriate even if you have to wear it over and over again. Im not focused on what people wear but you dont sit in church with your eyes closed when I was younger the mothers of the church or nurses would come and put a blanket across your lap.

I think you both are right@Detra & Ywkesha but just like you job requires a uniform, Policeman, fireman, etc require uniform because they are set apart. Now if a different dress code is practiced by most of the ladies and guys for that matt...er in the church it will either draw them or drive them but we ve got to make sure to love them mostly because what they have on might be all they own. I am a firm believer if you dont have something better to offer a person i leave them be. The same applies when u come 2 the house of God, seeking 2 b in His presence, try 2 dress appropriately with respect 4 Him. U r right, He can c wots in heart, including the xcuses we make.
