There were 10 persons, all African Americans, invited to this party where they were going to build a house. From the foundation on up they each were to jointly erect a fine ranch house. These ten brothers and sisters were of differant religions; christians, muslims, black hebrew israelites, jehovah witness, scientologists and atheist. Once built, they were each going to share ownership and tax benefits. They each agreed to meet on a particular date on Saturday at 10:00AM to begin the building of the house.
On the day of the House Building party all showed up but one. The nine brought shovels, picks, paint,roof materials,cement mix, wood, paneling, plumbing and more. Now, the one brother, realizing he was 3 hours late, stopped by the restaurant and got chicken, pizza and steak sandwiches with plenty to drink. About 1:30 PM, when the one brother arrived that was late was surprised to find each of the nine persons partying, dancing, singing and some even sleeping. Not one was engaged in building the house. So the late brother said to the other nine African Americans "Sorry, I am late but what are you'all doing ? Why have you not started on building the house ?"......they said to the late brother..."WE WERE WAITING ON YOU !"
