BULBS AND PLANTS:

Dear Gardeners:
October offers you potential for planting as well as harvesting. I find that since this is latter part of October you can find many ways to bring blooms to your home. One of the simpilest ways is by using houseplants, but here is another tip for you--
BULBS: That's right planting bulbs in pots can give you a spring and summer intake through the cold of the winter months. There are many blooming bulbs to choose from to make you array. Too many to name, but a visit to your local garden center and you can find bulbs just waiting for you. Prices of bulbs may vary and of course if you're new at planting you may need to be selective and conserve to just getting a simple plant that needs very little attention. Plant your bulbs as directed. You'll be the one to determine how many pots of bulbs you want. If your home is spacious enough or you have a nice window, try picking the most sunniest window because bulbs usually require necessary hours of sunlight. Plant, water and wait, soon enough you'll see results and one morning you'll be viewing blooming heads! It's like spring and winter fanstasy. It's also time for planting bulbs for next year's spring and summer garden. Although in some climates you'll have up until the end of November. Be sure you follow planting directions. There are aslo hundreds of web-sites that can give excellent tips for planting for the spring, landscaping and design. It's easy now for planting the all time favorites Tulips and those yellow spring flowers called Daffodils. Have fun!

SELECT A PLANT THAT GROWS INDOORS:
There are of course other plants to grow indoors. For those not so green thumbed persons try this plant called "Wandering Jew" known as the Zebrina pendula. This plant grows beautifully and easily grown in a pot. They require very little direct sun, but a well light room or close in a corner near a window will suit this plant just fine. First time houseplanters will find this may be you miracle grow!

I don't want to read great growers of green like yourself to boredom! I'll just have to save some for the next time. It's time to plant! I'll write soon.

Tip: Don't want to get your hands dirty? Wear garden gloves and use a hand garden shovel.

So what's growing in your gardens?

I'll love to know...

How does your gardens grow?

All my love,
MIISRAEL
