Google is looking for Computer Science Teachers to lead our CAPE (Computing and Programming Experience) Program for 8th grade students in 6 locations around the US - Mountain View, Cambridge, New York, Pittsburgh, Seattle/Kirkland and Santa Monica/Irvine.
Google’s Computing and Programming Experience (CAPE) is a four-week summer program for 8th graders designed to inspire excitement about computer science through an intensive summer program at Google’s campus. In addition to providing students with technical expertise, the CAPE program also emphasizes the important role CS plays in our culture and society and how it shapes our work and personal lives. CAPE inspires excitement around this field, by letting students experience daily life at Google and helping them to understand the global impact that CS makes on the world around us.
CAPE aims to create a future generation of leaders in the field of computing, by providing today's brightest young students with hands-on learning, information technology and computing experiences in a real-world setting. Through interactive workshops and courses, guest speakers and field trips, students learn algorithms, systems thinking, programming and computing theory. At the end of the summer session, students showcase a final project, which utilizes various technologies they have learned from the program.
This search will be conducting nationally for all positions. Housing will be provided for out of area candidates.
