In response to 31 Facts About Wisdom
http://blackinamerica.com/cgi-bin/blog.cgi... Wisdom is not a thing to be attained. She is God's "delight" - Old Testament code for spouse. Wisdom is the long denied Christian picture of Goddess, at least according to the Bible. And as she was brought forth from God before the first word spoken, and Jesus is The Word, she cannot possibly be allegorical of Jesus. Why is it that 51 books of The Bible are said to be literal, but the single book that speaks of feminine Divinity is allegory?
Just a little line upon line, precept upon precept to consider if you will. Can we first agree that Christian doctrine holds to "in earth as in heaven?" Can we further agree that Eve is without Heavenly counterpart in traditional teaching, and as such singularly contradictory of the foregoing?
No contradiction. Proverbs 8:22-30 predates Genesis and clearly reveals Wisdom as God's Eve. Check it out. Also consider that traditional teaching is that the Spirit of God overshadowed Mary to create Jesus. One person of God + one virgin = Divine birth. Right? Not according to The Bible. Starting in Luke 1:34 and reading through v35, you will discover that in fact it took two (2) persons of God to impregnate Mary. If 2 male persons of God came together to impregnate Mary and in earth as it is in Heaven is true, either one of those Divine persons is female or God doesn't abhor homos*xuality and Adam and Steve should be able to procreate.
