Thank God, my hometown is doing something about saggy pants. Particularly, one city school. If a male student is caught wearing sagging pants in school, they now issue what is called an "Urkel Alert." The student is sent down to the principals office and his pants are adjusted with a plastic singe belt.
After that, their photo is taken and gets put on a live size Urkel board (yeah, it has a photo of actor Jaleel White from the show, Family Matters) that sits in front of the school's hall/main entrance for everyone to see. How embarrassing is that?
Seeing someone's every day is not my cup of tea. And young boys should know the origins of this look: prison. Pants down just means your "s*xually available." If you're going to look and act like a clown, I guess the whole world can see it. Instead, just 100 or 200 of your classmates. And you are in school, how many hours a day? I think that's even more embarrassing. The "Urkel Alert" gets two snorts from me. Even Steve Urkel wouldn't like that.
