The Queen's Chair: Elizabeth Edwards Dies (401 hits)

Elizabeth Edwards died today from liver failure. Her cancer treatments ended yesterday. News media reported that yesterday, said she had a few months to live, and now that poor suffering, estranged wife of presidential hopeful John Edwards suffered more hurt than anyone should. Don't believe me? Ask her 10-year-old son.

Edwards was publicly humiliated. Her husband had an affair and lied. Then he fathered an out-of-wedlock child. He lied again. Edwards stood by him until she finally had enough and separated from him. She was still trying to live.

Live for her children (even though she lost her oldest child in an accident), move past the shame and fight to reclaim her health. She tried; unfortunately, she lost her battle. Most people don't know she was a lawyer by trade. She quit that profession to support her husband's political ambitions.

I'm going to always remember Elizabeth Edwards as a strong woman. As for her husband, John, I don't know how he is going to sleep let alone live with what he put her through.I hope she finds some peace in Heaven.
