Sherri Shepherd just might be engaged, y’all. Rumors have been spreading that “The View” panelist has been dating a Los Angeles based teacher and writer, Lamar ‘Sal’ Sally since the summer and now plans to marry him.
“Sherri has been wanting Sal to ask her to marry him since the two hit it off earlier this year and attended some awards shows on the west coast,” said an insider.
Shepherd has been praying for a husband for some time now and it looks like Niecy Nash helped her dreams come true.
“Niecy saw two great single people who seemed perfect for each other, and couldn’t help but play matchmaker for Sherri and Sal,” the insider said.
We shall see. The couple is reportedly happy and doing things together, like celebrating the holidays and plan to do Christmas with family and friends this year.
Hmm, makes you kinda wonder what Mr. Sally, who obviously looks nothing like Prince, thought about Sherri’s recent confession to the megastar – on national TV no less – that she’s wanted to bed him for … forever! Either way, we wish them the best.
