Port Au Prince, Haiti
01.12.2011
One year ago today Haiti was faced with one of the most impacting quakes known in earth. Thousands Haitians perished as the earthquake tumbled and rumbled cities and townships to rubble. In addition, those who lived to tell will never forget the day of the when the earth shook leaving many stories of death and tragedy as well as survival and will. Today a memorial serviced is planned to remember and give memoriable thoughts of those lost and those still surviving. The scheduled service will be at 4:58p.m. the the time of the earthquake one year ago.
In term of the restoring of Haiti there is still much to be accomplished as reports indicated on %5 percent of the rubble has been removed. Haitians are still on a long road to recovery and each day is pictured as a day of survivial in many areas. Aid that poured in from many charities may have been mishandled and many Haitians are living in poverty and in addition the recent disease of cholera outbreaks. Relief efforts continue to help the country of Haiti.
