Is it time for African-Americans to cut ties with the Democratic Party in 2012 (169 hits)

This topic is a difficult one to write about for me, not because it has to do with Politics, not because it has to do with race, but because it has to do with the interaction of the two. Political party lines should not have any color in them. Unfortunately that is not the case in today's American Political arena. It is the Politicians on all sides of the aisle that are fueling today's racial issues in America. The Democrats, however, are by far the worst at it.

It is the Democratic party that has pushed for the poverty stricken people to rely on the Government for everything. They push for welfare and food stamps. They pushed for sub prime mortgage rates for the impoverished people. They push for Government intervention on just about everything. A good example happened just recently in San Fransisco. The Government there just recently made it so that restaurants can no longer offer toys with kids menu items. Why? Because these fast food menu items are unhealthy and the toys are just enticing kids to eat unhealthy. They are, in effect, telling the parents of San Fransisco, "you are not capable or responsible enough to properly feed your children, we will tell you how they need to eat."

Welfare is a tool designed to make the recipient dependant on the Government. The Government gives you a reason to not work instead of giving you incentive to work. There are people out there that are unable to work for health or mental reasons. Those people receive Social Security, which is different than welfare. Welfare is given to those that are fully capable of working but for one reason or another are not working. Instead of welfare the government needs to take that money and invest it in education for these people. Train them so they can work and become a productive member of society. People tend to take care of things they had to earn, better than things that they were given. In return the Government receives more revenue in the form of income taxes and spends less on welfare. It is a win win situation.

There is the Immigration debate that the Democrats have tried to make it appear as though the Republicans are racist and trying to prevent Immigrants from entering the country. This is not true. We welcome Immigrants of all races, nationalities and religions. We ask only one thing. Enter the Country legally. If you enter the country legally, you will not only stand a better chance of finding a better paying job for yourself, but with some of those jobs will come health benefits, saving the taxpayers money in healthcare. With that legal immigrant status, you will be paying taxes and putting the money back into our economy. Many of todays illegal immigrants send the majority of what they earn back home to their families. The money is lost from our economy. The illegal immigrant costs us money when they go to the hospital. When their children go to school, and when our Law Enforcement has to house them for crimes committed or while awaiting deportation. The legal Immigrant pays taxes and therefore is entitled to send their children to school. They won't be costing us money awaiting deportation.

Those on the Democratic side of the Aisle in Washington tell the American People that as a Nation we are nothing but a bunch of caucasian racists trying to keep everyone else down and out. The reality of the matter is that Republicans as a whole would rather see the people from all races succeeding. A competitive Society and a competitive workforce makes for a strong and healthy economy. Every penny that the Government gets, it takes from the working people in the form of taxes. The Government does not create a stable economy, the capitalist and competitive market creates a stable economy. The more money the Government takes from the people the more money it takes from the economy.

The Democrats want to change the way the laws are written to make things easier for those that have not and harder for those that have. The Republicans don't want to change the laws, we want people to embrace the laws and accept the challenge to better themselves. When the poorest person becomes better off, so does everyone above and around them. When the richest become worse off the less likely they are to put their money back into the economy, where the poor man has the opportunity to earn that extra money. Republicans promote hard work, creativity and ingenuity. Earn what you get and you will eventually get what you earn. The cycle will keep the world turning economically. Getting something that you have not earned means that someone else had to earn it. Eventually that person will get tired of someone else getting the rewards and quit earning that little extra that goes into the pot. Eventually the pot will run dry. Money is not a renewable resource, it is a recyclable resource. If we don't recycle it, we will eventually run out of it. The only way to recycle it is to earn it.

Big Governement is a tool used to create dependancy not independence. Consider it this way, the more the Government says "you must do this" it is the same as saying "you cannot do that". They are telling you that you are not capable of deciding what is best for you or your family. They are telling you that you are not as smart as they are, that you do not know what is best, only the Government can make those decisions. Republicans want the Government to downsize and get out of the way. We as people have not only the ability, but the right to say how we live, as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others to live as they choose. Democrats try to impose laws telling people how to live.

It doesn't matter what color your skin is, it doesn't matter what your ethnic background is. If true freedom and independence are what you seek. If what you truly want is the right to live your life to the fullest, to prosper, to fail and to succeed, then you need to stay away from the Democratic, big Government way of thinking.
