On The Week Beginning February 24, 1973, Singer, Roberta Flack, Had A Billboard Number One Hit Single With The Song, "Killing Me Softly With His Song." The Song Remained In That Position For Five Weeks And Won The 1974 Grammy Award For Song Of The Year.

The Following Year Her Song, "Feel Like Makin' Love," Went To Number One The Week Of August 19th.

Other Roberta Flack Hits Include "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, (The Soundtrack Of The Clint Eastwood Film, Play Misty For Me, Which Became A #1 Hit in 1972 And The 1973 Grammy Record Of The Year )," "The Closer I Get To You," "Where Is The Love," "You Are My Heaven" And "You've Got A Friend" --- (Duets With Donny Hathaway), "Tonight I Celebrate My Love," "You're Looking Like Love To Me" And "I Just Came Here To Dance" -- (Duets With Peabo Bryson).

Roberta Flack Flack Was Born In Black Mountain, North Carolina. At The Age Of 15, She Received A Full Music Scholarship To Howard University And Became One Of The Youngest Students To Ever Enroll There.

In Her Professional Career, She Has Gained Notoriety In The Genres Of Jazz, Folk, Soul And R&B Music. She's Also Credited With Helping Luther Vandross Launch His Solo Career.

Roberta Flack Received A Star On Hollywood's Walk Of Fame In 1999.
