Police estimated up to 100,000 people turned out in Madison, WI yesterday to protest Gov. Scott Walker’s (R) assault on unions, making it bigger than any protests the city has witnessed, even those during the Vietnam War. The Madison rally is part of a much larger Main Street Movement of average Americans demanding fairness in labor laws, social spending, and taxation that has emerged in Ohio, New Jersey, Florida, Michigan, and elsewhere. But yesterday’s rally in Madison is noteworthy because at 85,000-100,000, it was bigger than the biggest tea party protest, the September 12, 2009 rally in Washington, D.C., which turned out only an estimated 60,000-70,000. For two years, tea party activists and their allies in the GOP have claimed that the hard-right movement represents the true beliefs of the American people. But the crowd in Madison and numerous polls tell a different story.

The ralliers have picked up this chant: "THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!!!"
And they are right!

and these (nonabusing religion) Christians demonstrating in peace and unity for all creeds, colors and s*xes are helping to farther explain why we as ND Buddhist chant along with why our chant(prayers) have in it s ending word "KYO" : sound in unity with those who are praying at the same time for peace and unity on our planet...as being nothing to f-e-a-r as so many have been thought to hate/ fear as different therefore deficient...

@Dorothy, thanks loads..."I" have not checked out your link, but hopefully the bank was Bank of America was the bank of choice of the firemen when I go to your link to read it...
as if it is then it will surely guarantee forced mass mdea coverage on the protest against this bank that began a few weeks ago for cheating the public and getting paid in tax cuts for not just doing this but had to pay no taxes on their out of control profits for doing this in teh first place!!!...the first protest closed a few or their banks in guess where...

@ Rich, thanks a lot, because you now have my mind on the proper useage of I and me in my statement on you, me and Siebra...not to mention teh proper use of who/ whom and I have had I believe a milliong writting classes.
so glad as a writting teacher you are not hung up of correctness i writing or I would be the first to be kicked out of class. lol
but, not to worry when it comes to my having to write in a formal way...I get tutoring all the way to prefection long before you as in the class's teacher gets even a look at the first rough draft. lol (smile)

Rich, I would like to run someting by youthat came to my mind as I was reading the blog about asking the public to come out and support the fight against billionaire, racism that was posted on 3-5...and I don't think this is off topic...the words in part of the theme was we should join in with Egypt and Wisconsin...(you know me and logic.lol )
These were about human rights and dignity...I have been trying to put it out there just how our talking about race, religion, dkincolor always gets us discussing every thing but the main subject as in unity/ equality/ human rights...
I want to run this by you because, this is going to be as unknow to us as how to expect what is happening in Japan that we continue to ask answers to/ about it , because mankind as I know it has never faced anything like this before in real time...so how can one get out that we now have a chance to step intounknown territory that goes beyond race, religion, politics, ect. that is so restricting to a nwe possiable way of social thinking an inclusice thinking so it will be logical to say there is a unity of Egypt, Wisconsin and help dthe efforts of freedom of religion as that religion minus the lables because it is always going to defeat our puropse as we revert back to right,/ wrong, better than/ less than...
I KNOW I HAVE NO IDEA, BUT I AM WILLING TO TRY TO FIND OUT HOW TO DO THIS...ANY FEED BACK...I BELIEVE I HAVE BUGGED THE OPEN BLOG SITE ENOUGH FOR THE NEXT WEEK???? PLUS NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO FULLY UNDERSTAND HOW ALL OF THIS AND THE EARTH QUAKES IN JAPAN IS GOING TO MAKE THE WHOLE BETTER IN THE LONG TERM BECAUSE JAPAN IS NOT AMERICA AND THEY WILL NOT MISS A BEAT IN RECOVERING FROM THIS.
