Libya: US/Western Bombardment / War is Unconstitutional (US-Republican D. Kucinich) (653 hits)

Amid the ongoing coalitional bombardment of Libya it turns out President Obama may have had no constitutional authority for ordering US military involvement. US Rep. from Ohio Dennis Kucinich says the use of US armed forces is unconstitutional, explaining Obama had no authority to commit US resources without congressional approval. The US now finds itself involved into another war in addition to Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan. 'Bombing villages in order to save villages' -- that didn't work in Vietnam, Kucinich explained. In fact, he argued this time around the Libyan intervention could end up strengthening Al-Qaeda and US enemies.

I disagree. This thing going on in Libya isn't a war, but a humanitarian effort coordinated via the UN. What is wrong with the United States and the Kucinich? Perhaps he's making his bid for another run for the 2012 Presidency, eh!

I shake my head in shame. How can you say Pres. Barack Hussein Obama is not Black? Alright, lets agree to disagree on that point. Perhaps we can agree that he is an American or are you of the opinion that he was born and raised in Kenya? The only thing that should matter is that he's the President of all Americans who deserves to be respected. There is a fine line that we cross when we disrespect the Highest office in the land. I beseech all people who say that know and love God to pray without ceasing for this country that they live, breath, sleep, and work in. Afterall, it benefits us all. Not so?

@ Saint,
As you know, it makes no difference to me whether President Obama is an Isralite or not. The only requirement I have for praying for people is that they be human. ((smiles)) I'm not into this separate and unequal stuff your Isralite grp seems to be into promoting. It appears to be similar to the White Aryan Resistance or Nazi Party.

@Jen "I" am in full agreement wit hyou on as an American citizen I respect the office of president and the rights of humans to have Freedoms of speech as well as religion. I also see all human beings as my equal as human brains and the need to survive and be happy.

Jake as I am the type of person to want things explained to me so that I am able to fullyunderstand it...

You saying lineage has me unable to unlearn that genetic study came into being as a science using peas to sow the connections and also helped support evelotution not creation. both as in its useage of genetics is compared to your history of the Isrealites is just being born as a form of tracing ones lineage.

NOw I am not doubting you , just letting you know I got lost in yourexplination with the use of that word genetics that's all. (smile) Oral history being translated I can understnad and even being able this way to continue from places to places and over endless time unchanged in social rituals and restrictions. (smile)

Not to worrry Steve, because dispite the Senate having given 100% approval fo rour president to go into Libya and do exactly what he did on 3-1-11 they are still saying this is a lie also. He weint into Libya weeks aftet their giveint theri approvials that they accused him of being on vacation from their own a few hours on and a week off job in D.C.

dont' we just love our country withour freedoms of religion and speech....(rotf) (smile)

And, they know because we are so stuck on party, and one resource those like D.K. know before doing something like this there is always going to be a following...as in who is more popular in being followed and trusted in the teaparty / Libiration party backers...Rand Paul or Michelle Bachmann is about the best example I can give about having a following...anyone still calling Sarah Palin the Teparty darling? lol smioe)
