For me, being sentimental regards Race is so unnecessary and unhelpful and this is when Black people make noise when its us against them. Would it have been different if the 11 year old were Black? Probably to the degree that nothing at all would have been said, because I can't see Mr. X defending the accused in that case nor would there be too, many people with a need to come out and speak for the 11 year old because what happens when its Black on Black crimes doesn't make headlines, eh! ((lol))

On a serious note though, Kuddoes to the Black woman who spoke with her beautiful Black self for stating that she was molested by her uncle!!! More of us need to speak out about this silent pandemic that happens behind closed doors to so many of us and our children. I'm on the side of the 11 year and my heart goes out to her and especially as a Black woman who understands that my female ancestors were ganged raped without their consents. I don't think this issue should be about Race. It's about a child being violated. If there are others who raped this child irrespective of their so called Race, then they should also be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. As a parent, I always ask the question, Where are the parents? In that regrards I agree with Mr. X. There are so called parents who prostitute their children for money, drugs, food, and all sort of stuff. If so, the child needs to be taken away from the parents in placed into the custody of Social Services because we are still wanting to protect the child who happens to be an 11 year old.

I see your point Jen and while I agree that no child (male or female) deserves to be violated, what the police fail to share with the media is that this girl is very promiscuous. She has a very long record of previous s*xual behavior. She WAS NOT gang raped as claimed and the cops have a recording to prove it. But of course the police fail to share this information with the media. Also, another thing the media is overlooking is the fact that the girls mother is a part time stripper.

For me, it matters not that she is promiscuous but that she's a minor which qualifies as statutory rate in many States; therefore, Adults who engaged in s*xual relations with this child should be held accountable irrespective of Race. If the parents are responsible for her prostituting herself then they also should be held accountable because she's still a child engaging in adult acts without really being mature enough to understand the repercussions (people who had s*x with her could go to prison).
