Greetings,

I like to extend to you opportunities to incorporate your professional expertise into a family-oriented community event.....

The Arts & Culture Foundation of Antioch would like to extend to you this invitation to be a part of our inaugural Antioch Film & Arts Festival September 1-5, 2011, in the city of Antioch, San Francisco Bay Area, CA.

Our goal is to continue nurturing our community youth for a new generation of filmmakers and artists. Our city has the honor to say we are the hometown of NBC News Editor and co-founder of Runaway Films, Scott Birmingham, Academy Award winning motion picture producer, Lori McCreary, television personality, Kevin Pereira, award winning Sound Technician, Michael Semanick, teen actor, Tyler Steelman, American conductor and composer, Carmen Dragon, and of course Mr. James P. Taylor, award winning Producer.

We are also pleased to present a filmmaker workshop and former co-host of MTV’s “Your Movies Show” Ms. Dana Verde.

Film submission deadline date is August 1, 2011; Visual and Performing Arts submission is August 5, 2011.

Also, The Antioch Senior Olympics will take place on August 11-12, 2011.

Sounds great Zhana and hopefully people here who are into film making can catch your workshop. Me, I'm just a mother, wife, and by profession ... a nurse. Maybe film making is something I need to develop or take up as a hobby.

Well I don't envy those Seniors when it will be about 110 degrees out there in August.

I won't be doing a workshop there myself, Jen. It sounds like a very positive event, so I wanted to share the info.
