JUNE 2011
14th Day
Hamburg, Iowa
The little communtiy of Hamburg is between two buns by facing two levys that are overflowiing the town with flooding. Residents there are trying to make a recipe to keep the town from going 10 ft. under water. The Missouri River made a 225 foot hole which gave freeway to waters over to residential areas. The resort town is now in for a long hall to combat waters and a case another levy may also give way. The floodings have also effected, Montana, South Dakota and North Dakota. Residents built a second levy which is also threated to be overtaken with flooding waters. Approixamately 300 residents have left and others have been issued citations to leave soon. The Army Corps of Engineers are draining dams to release water pressure in order to help save Hamburg. Conditions are uncertain, but appear to be futile as to controlling the flooding waters at this day.
